How much power do you think it was making in this videos with no controller ? I would honestly be more than happy with this turnout. No need to up the boost if the internals are reliable at that hp for me personally. Also how much did you spend on this ? I did some research and I found the kit for 4.3k

@@morechuckyblood the R400TS is around that 4500 range. The original R400 kit like the one I have is around 7k new if you pay full price. It definitely made nice power but shortly after filming I turned down the boost to make sure stock internals would survive. I’m pretty sure it would last at the 18ish psi I was targeting before. As of about a month ago I’ve now forged the engine and am almost done with break in, about 1 more week before I turn the boost up

@@zevisgarage Thanks ! What can i do to get the car running right with a downpipe on ? Ive got a half filled engine light on my dash and the cars been slow, I was hoping tuning may allow me to delete the trouble codes and get it running right, does that sound right ? I noticed your downpipe doesnt have o2 sensors, is that something which can be deleted once tuned out ?

@@Blessedlungs my downpipe does have o2 sensors, I use the tune from Mario Palza to remove the CEL and P0420 code. You shouldn’t be getting the half filled engine light, that’s limp mode. You have another issue somewhere

I have alot to learn I have some error codes Related to Lambda probe after catalytic converter, So i assumed that was related to the o2 sensors on the downpipe. Is that something different ? For Reference, These are my Errors; 2C57: 0x2C57 boost pressure control, plausibility: pressure too low 2CB3: 0x2CB3 Wastegate, control: suspected fault in the wastegate control 2D13: 0x2D13 Lambda probe heating after catalytic converter, function: internal resistance too high 2D22: 0x2D22 Lambda probe after catalytic converter, electrical: line break Any Guidance is greatly appreciated !

i know you have done this more than once but how do you mark/label everything so you are certain on reassembly.? driver side of the motor is a rats nest!

Resetting the oil change interval, if not the car will complain that it still needs an oil change

If you replace any lights with LEDs (R56) you'll get a warning because the lack of load fools the computer into thinking the light has burned out.

My car wont start without a jump . Among other things can that b part of a footwheel module bc everything else is good ? Thank you .ugh i already paid 2 x to get my module unbricked . Its been over a year and they obviously are not interested in fixing the module recall .im about to picket at mini untill they agree to replace it with a refurbished one . Why is no one suing :(

Used part prices vary. Now a days I send them to my friend who reflashes them, it’s a much easier solution than trying to find the correct part number and get it to match 100%

What if the computer is on the other side ? (Passenger side ) Mecanic told me is that one the problem (have a mini 2011 59 k miles no accidents one owner. Al of the suden headlights won’t turn off, brake indicator on, check engine light on, AC blowing not hot or cold, turning lights or emergency lights won’t turn at all windows won’t go down. Mecanic told me is the Comintern module but is on the right side

Habe jetzt einen von inoxcar dran und der mittelschalldämpfer von Ragazzon. Edelstahl downpipe. Auspuffanlage ab Turbolader in Edelstahl 😊 your Mini Sounds good. In der Nacht als du da rechts vorbeifahren tust dieser Sound ist einfach nur Gänsehaut 😍 i can hear this Sound 24-7😅 ehrlich ich könnte auf Arbeit usw den ganzen Tag diesen Motorsound mir anhören 😅 einfach nur eine Furie ! Wie eine wütende Furie schreit sie😅

That bolt in the middle, holding the mount is an absolute pain to remove and it's 21mm in pre-facelift R53. I would advise having a special tool for the removal of that bolt.

I have a 2010, to get it to stop having the halo’s on until you lock the car in did the following. The little harnesses that runs to the factory DRL‘s. I cut the plugs off and connected the red wires to the red wire that comes off the little black box. Then i used a tap a fuse and ran it off the F6 fuse in the engine bay fuse box. Only need to connect the ground wire for the black box. Now the halo’s shut off about 20 seconds after you shut off the car.

I need to do this for my car but i dont have the tools. so i have to take it to a shop. they want 2800 for the job. it only has 40k miles. the check engine light gave a code saying the guides need to be replaced. but not the chain. but i figure if the guides gotta go then the chain does too...

@@zevisgarage you are right. There isn't a code. The check engine light is on. First it was the solenoids, then the O2 sensor. I changed them. Then I changed the gasket cover. I took it to AutoZone and it says the guides need to be changed. The same codes came back. For the O2 sensor and the solenoid. I have a cheap code reader. Autel brand that I got from Amazon.

It says 287D engine dme motor electronics. Dme vanos inlet: actuator movement. Status: not present. 2845 dme vanos exhaust actuator movement. Status not present I figured those codes are clear. But why are they there. Then it says 2A8B dme oxygen sensor before catalytic converter calibration line present. Idk what that one is. But maybe that's next to replace. AutoZone says replace the guides

Thanks for the video. Ive just replaced my clutch and all the front end subframe bushes and ball joints on my R55 Clubman, when I put everything back together I have the exact same symptoms, I'm presuming its because I disconnected the battery. Terrible car design...

Personally I’d probably replace it just because. I’m very extra like that. But in theory it should be okay. I’d recommend looking at the guides to see color and judge health

FYI don’t buy KYB get Lemforder which is BMW MINI . I spent $60 on each mount thinking KYB would be top of the line. They stretched as soon as I put them in . So I had to replace them after I did the full rebuild of each strut. I did it this way. It is super easy as the mini springs have very little movement when under load .

I was just watching the vid for fun because I'm bored and like you content. I've got an 11 r56s tuned with mods, boost pipes and all like this one. I've done all of my own oil changes and never removed the intake pipe. I just pull up the reservoir and use a long extension (actually 2 put together) to get to it. You can also push the transmission link/ bar to the left to give you some more room as long as you put it back when you're done. Not sure if that helps or if you do it like this normally
