'Wish I'd seen this before I (Just this morning!) bought my second 'Stihl' '2 in 1' to suit my larger saw, which runs a larger (3/16" pitch) chain to the 3/8" pitch on the chains fitted to my smaller saws! 'Pferd' probably make the tools for 'Stihl' anyway & Stihl just mark up the price to go with their branding?! You didn't mention this, but the tools come in different sizes to suit different pitch chains & its important to buy the right one for your required chain pitch (You can't just cut corners by simply buying different files to swap out with those in the tool for a different pitch chain, as the guide bars will also be set up differently!). Also, your stump vice is very useful (Not seen one before!) for sharpening 'out in the field', but have just ordered one of these as well!

Everything was looking really good until you dug out the area at the leg holes. Why did you do that? It will collect water every time it rains along with other debris and promote rot.

I would not think it's any better than the Stihl chainsaw sharpener. It looks like an exact copy of the stihl sharpener.

Some say the chain is grabby after using the 2 in 1. I would say it is to some extent, as it lowers the rakers a bit more than stock chain. But if your saw is powerful enough, it will just cut faster. I use Stihl RS chain on a 20" bar with an MS500i, and it cuts blazingly fast. I am talking about 10 seconds through an 18" oak log.

Live near a street that has several mature male black poplars growing on the verge of the road. Few years ago one was blown over by a storm. But there's now a mass of saplings growing up from the roots in an adjoining field. Hopefully the city council will let them grow and not just chop it all down

Why do people who don't know what they're doing making instructional videos? One of the golden rules when making nest boxes is never to put a perch by the hole. All that does is allow predators to climb in. Maybe do some actual research next time.

I had filled up all seven of those little cups we also had wicks that you would dip down and then like them and use the wet to let each one open up and just go down today and let each one open it stick to it do it go to the next go to the next and you let them burn for a little bit they warm up the flu the four pipes. After giving time for the flues to be nice and hot. You could walk down through the row Holding open the little cup still burning turning on the valve or tap to a drip that would catch the flame in there it would hit the dispersing plate at the bottom turned into a nice little burning grow The faster you set the drip to where it look like. beads coming out Have that boiling in no time. I went back through them lighting them after the flues were hot One add gone out the little cup was no longer burning. It happens so I refilled my cup and when I went to ignite. It blew up throwing this wax my hat and it’s pouring my body and I’m not sure it was a blur I was about 15 feet away from it on my back nice red glow burned my face and every piece of facial hair eyebrows eyelashes burned and knotted up in the little knots that I had to shave off. All because I did not notice the little gasket underneath the filler cap that was slowly dripping leaking gasoline straight into the chamber the whole time I was waiting for the flues to heat. Sorry for such a long time it just brought back a powerful memory thanks for sharing John L. McDaniel. California USA 😮

I've seen new recommendations that a "cage" made from hardware 1/4" cloth , placed at the opening will prevent birds, raccoons, and snakes from reaching the chicks or eggs. 4-5 inches protruding out, 2-3 wide for the adult bird to land and walk in, with spikes around the perimeter that result from cutting the hem. Thats a very nice looking box, I'd be concerned that the nest could be reached easily.

Nice job and the joint provides drainage with no need for extra holes to ruin the overall look .
