I’m going to try this gel again. Like you mentioned, I didn’t apply it as directed, as my other gels I can get away with a lazier application using larger sections. Thank you for the video!

you got me wanting to try this combo again. i tried it twice and didnt like it, but i didnt work the 808 in as much as you did. i never usually apply my base product that way so i ignored the instructions lol but i'm going to stop being hard-headed and use it as suggested and see.

I feel you! It’s wild because the more you work it in it starts to feel like a completely different product. Let me know if it helps! My results were literally night and day once I adjusted lol.

Great to see you! This has been my new combo. The mousse DRIES my high porosity, fine hair to the max and it is horrible. I decided to try the base gel underneath for moisture and then the mousse. And it worked. The first time I did it, it flaked but I think I used too much product now I have been using less and it is feeling better.

I definitely feel you on mousse alone. Unless I’m doing a rod set I’ve yet to try one that doesn’t dry my hair out on it’s own. Even then I still prefer to have at least a spray leave in. I grossly underestimated how far 808 could go my first time around too. It was a snow storm 😂

Aht Aht!! 😂 We can absolutely have crunch/hold & no flakes!! I notice that most of the things you love have a softer to medium hold & I’m definitely gonna try a few of these.. I’m a STRONG hold girlie but….. if I can find a medium hold that will last I’m definitely open to it!! It just wouldn’t be those Keracare Gelessence gels bc they gave me literally NO hold 😩😩😩

Never said you couldn’t! If you’ve watched me over the years I do also use heavy hold products, but I also have reasonable expectations for heavily form filming ingredients. You can be whatever makes your heart happy, but a lot of folks are using products that don’t suit their needs and I will always speak on it 💕

@@TheThirdEyeAngel my comment was in jest like I believed yours to be. Not to proclaim that all strong hold gels wouldn’t leave us with flakes or to say you were absolutely wrong. And I still appreciate the lighter medium hold gels you suggest bc I would like to try something new..

She just re-released the collection on her own and is no longer under Sally’s. I believe you can get them at moknowshair.com and I do plan on doing a review now that she’s re-formulated and fully in charge 💕

Like I said on IG you always put us on to great products … and books. I wore Bianco Latte when I went to get bloodwork done yesterday & all the ladies there went crazy over the scent. 2 pulled out their phones to search for it. It’s definitely a must have including the body lotion.

Yes!!! The closest I’ve found is Luxe from Buttah Baby. It has a similar honeyed/creamy beeswax note. Beautiful with La Femme!

I appreciate the combo refresh. The Mane Choice combo is the bomb. The gel is one of the best curl definers I ever used. The products are still on the Mane Choice website. This is one of the lines they have kept, but you are right. Tomorrow, they may be gone, so hey.

That must be recent because the site was completely cleaned out a couple weeks ago. It’s strange seeing a brand just drop from the shelves and e-commerce almost entirely without a peep. I’m so curious but holding opinions until we know more lol.

I missed my good sis & you gathering the girls!! I’ve been sticking to the goated tgin green tea super moist leave in with their honey hair milk when I need more moisture or girls with curls mousse for humid days. Thanks for the recommendations.

Nice haul. I’m obsessed with the Saltair lotion. It’s so spreadable, but still creamy and moisturizing. I have it in pink beach and the body wash in Exotic pulp. My sister put me on and she has most of the products in the Santal bloom line. Everything smells so good. I can’t wait to try more scents.

Thank you, because I was wondering about whether the leave-in would "pill" bc it is so thick. I also wanted to see if your hands would show any excess leave-in product when you were raking and smoothing the hair. So, that means it was absorbed! Also, thank you for those closeup shots. It was "weighty" because of the gel, right?
