Good explanation. I think you just missed one cost: the cost of all the staff, buildings and development of the shirt. Also the managing team who decides what adidas does. It’s like saying Apple pays 100€ to build an iPhone and sells for 10x. Not true… to develop the iPhone, there was probably 1000 employees involved, plus offices, expenses and many other things… they still have a good margin, but I guarantee there’s more cost on developing than on producing!

Basketball is dynamic and fun to watch, the basketball players themselves are relatable and are accessible, baseball though has too many eccentric star players, and you cant really market someone who's crazy to kids.
