Just with the short clip you showed…I’m like what the fuck, man. Damn. With that said, I see that you are moving forward and you truly are inspirational on how you’ve dealt with and conquered these obstacles. Truly awe inspiring.

NGL that semi beside you have flashback to my second accident where z front drum brake on a Suzuki seized on and flipped my pillion and myself over the bars onto the road and the first thing I focused on as my eyeballs stopped jiggling was a truck hauling down with its brakes on full, it stopped before it got to us, that was nearly 40 years ago! Still ride, still never like to have a big truck directly behind me unless it’s unavoidable. Good luck with your recovery and return to two wheels. We all know it’s when not if. Even my last ever motorised journey will involve a bike. Stay frosty my friend.

It's tough. It will stir up those memories that you're trying to cover up. I can still remember the weightless sensation when the bike went full lock as I center punched a deer on I-26 at 80+ mph on my 885i. I still remember my initial thought before impact. Not Shit or Oh Shit like fighter pilots say before making that one point landing. My thought was, "this is going to hurt". It's still vivid after almost 15 years. But I don't wake up sweating and tense anymore well not often anyway. Sharing your hard won knowledge is a big part of you. This is important to you. This sharing is helping you process the mental trauma. Hang in there dude👍 👽

My nephew lost most of his foot in a crash. If he would have worn gear he would have been a lot better off. He wore sneakers, took less than 1 second for the pavement to eat through his shoe. The photos were horrific.

That short snippet lurching left then right gave me an involuntary spasm in the pit of my stomach. I can't even imagine how difficult this is for you, a mere month after your accident. Thank you for sharing. This is a visceral lesson, impossible to ignore, that will have a very strong impact. This single video will probably save a few lives and several limbs.

I don’t know how you can watch it, much less edit it. It gives me the Willie’s just thinking about it. Keep on keeping on Moto.

I'm sure it's tough for you, but I'm sure it will help a lot more than it hurts. Especially others. This quick trailer answered my question of which direction you high sided.

Even in the summer when so ride my sport bike it’s full leathers. I wear an under suit that wicks sweat and keeps you cooler. I am 56 and went down when I was 18 in shorts , tank top , no gloves or helmet. Took a lot of skin off my left side and that’s all it took to be Atgatt!!! Be safe out there.

After a year and a half of riding I learned a lesson too. Every single time I go out I may not make it home. Motorcycle cops must be crazy. A double dose of danger.

Its hard. Buddy of mine high sided some years ago. He walked away clean and hasnt been back on the bike, or around them since. Hopefully you still enjoy riding and can find some accessibility parts to let you keep going.

Thanks for sharing your experience I wear ATGATT, I also wear a leatte neck support. Having bought it on the grounds that it reduces the chances of a broken neck by 40% - I could stand the thought of a quadriplegic C spine injury whilst it sat at home on the shelf. I am truly shocked by the lack of awareness of fellow riders. Hopefully, your story will help - keep the chin guard down !

I can't believe that someone didn't try to flag you down when your sleeping bag came loose. Maybe you could have stopped before it got sucked into the rear wheel, unless it happened suddenly without warning. Only the drivers behind you know what happened for sure

Wow! One rider to another -- thank you, man! And God Bless! That's a detailed analysis and really helpful -- abrasion on the boot laces! -- I'm looking at what I wear 😭 Btw surprised/lucky the gloves stayed on?

Funny, you ask that because those gloves are much better quality than most of the motorcycle gloves I have seen out there which is why I was wearing them

My tent came off my top box last summer and the small rachet strap kept it in tow.It didn't go under the wheel but got dragged behind hitting the ground intermittently but the ass of the bike waved over and back ,I luckily got it stopped but ruined my tent and lesson learned

I just came to your channel after watching this Video "Brief summary of my motorcycle crash and topics I want to cover" I Pray for You! You seem like you have A good Spirit about you,I can tell that you are in a lot of Pain, but your not letting that bother you right now. I, as well of the others who in here are commenting, have went through some sort of crash as well. Mine was on my quad, April 2023 I was going through mud puddle over the trail, something might of been in the puddle, anyways it flipped the quad to the right side, I fell with the quad, broke my collar bone, 5 ribs, and a punctured Lung. Not Quite as bad as what you are dealing with, but I do feel what your feeling. I Hope and Pray that You Get Well Soon!

Ive been riding for 40+ years. Mostly ride alone, the very few times I’ve ridden with others they mostly said I ride crazy. On that note all I knew crashed their bikes, I never have, hell I never even have close calls, I expect the unexpected and take extra precautions.

you sound good though and in good spirits, i have said the same thing about vets, they write books and do podcasts because i think it helps.....i started last year gathering better or different gear after watching Dork's and Travis' video when he broke his leg......I do have a pan america but that has become my touring bike, maybe gravel and light dirt and bought a 701 for offroad and going to buy a in-reach.......glad to see your doing good, and recovering at a decent pace, its actually surprising.....sláinte!
