Thank You! A picture of the Woman you murdered would bring you COMFORT? Really! The judge should've ordered the photo to be returned to her family! And Collins should've returned to America, as he'd planned. He might've found him someone else, but emotionally unbalanced that he was, that would be unlikely.

It was actually quite a human thing to do Noah had the deck stacked against him since he was a child He probably had never known kindness or love or compassion He was used for his back 😔 and nothing else Not justifying what he did that was horrible Just saying that it takes a judge with a great amount of empathy to allow him to keep her photo To want to look at the woman he claimed to love and know that he was responsible for so much pain and her death, the judge knew that would be harder than even a death sentence

@@colleens1878 Many people have grim starts in life, they don't become cold blooded killers. He had nothing and no one holding him back. He had the opportunity to travel to America or Canada and over time make something of himself. He isn't the victim here and his victim;s family should have been given the photo. He deserved nothing from the life he took.

Such a shame. I'll never understand why someone would be so willing 2 give up their life 4 someone who doesn't want them. Whether it's prison or death, your life is over as soon as you take another life. It's not worth it. But it was an interesting case this morning!! Happy Monday!! ☺☺

Injured pride? Obsession? Dorothy could not get away from him as he was her mother's renter. He knew every move she made...terrible situation for Dorothy to be in. Jealousy is a killer...literally.

How little things have changed over the years. Imagine how she felt living in the same house as him. She didn't have a chance. I've been listening to stories on serial killers recently and there are so many of them, I must say I think I prefer the crimes from way back in history because I am going to end up terrified of everyone!😳 I feel safer here.🤗

This sounds like one of those “jealousy suddenly turned him mad” cases....although it’s actually almost never “sudden”. Usually it turns out the guy has had some kind of mental issue all his life that nobody noticed before it was too late (in this particular case because nobody really knew Noah well since he traveled a lot) and something causes the issues to come to the light - here it’s the feeling of jealousy, which made this guy delusional and made him believe things that never happened (like that he and Dorothy had a commitment).

Narcissist in the least, psychopath in probability. He really was delusional and believed that he possessed her like chattle...the worst part is that he was beneath her in social status, and acted this way. The poor girl had no chance since she lived there and he was her mother's tenant. He could stalk her all he wanted and there wasn't really anything she could do about it. Besides elope and move to another country!

That's not love. It's pathology. He didn't see her as someone to care about and make a life with. He saw her as an object, a totem. Something that by possessing, he would make everything all better. Property. Men and women do this constantly. Nothing new here. Except the stabbing thing.

They would just laugh 😂 or I can just walk the most fabulous way in the public streets and nobody would notice me like I even exist or I'm just like the wind.. 😂

Very sad. The daughter perhaps was a little gullible about saying things in front of him. Dorothy's parents should not have let him stay at the house. They must have seen signs or his mood towards Dorothy. Having said that, why leave her alone in the kitchen or anywhere else with him very sad indeed

Just because you have feelings for someone does NOT mean they owe you a relationship. I broke up with a guy who basically said I would come back to him. Nope. When he found out I was engaged he called me up to yell at me about, trying to argue that I belonged with him. This happens SO MUCH! I'm sure so many others have similar stories. I'm just fortunate he didn't take it as far as this criminal. Thank you again for another case I've never heard of BC!

Very sad and interesting case. I couldn’t help but to think of the song My Delilah sung by Tom Jones. In Noah’s mind, he came to the conclusion that if he couldn’t have this woman, no one will. The passing of portraits by young women to men sounded interesting, especially to young men who come from good families, from respectable to the very rich. I guess Noah, with his experiences, was not enough, or this woman simply lost interest and friend zoned Noah. Jealousy, pride and delusion make an unpredictable and dangerous combination.

So tired of these cases of men murdering women because he couldn’t accept rejection. It happens constantly, I barely escaped becoming such a victim myself. The “if I can’t have you, no one can” type mentality is so toxic and awful and it’s messed up how common it seems to be.

A true loss, close proximity, yet separate lives. He was not able to relate in a decent manner. Having a difficult childhood is not a sufficient excuse. Very sad.

Great case review. While Noah may have felt “insanity” had been responsible for his act of murder, I suspect he was simply emotionally very young. Noah had a very hard life early on and I doubt he had much, if any, guidance in dealing with others. His infatuation with Dorothy was dangerous because she lived under the same roof. That closeness simply imprinted Dorothy very deeply in his being and life without her did not seem possible. The thought of Dorothy with another was beyond what Noah could live with. So sad. Thank you for another “Brief Case”.

As always a wonderful video. I really appreciate the fact that you always refer to the people as ladies and gentlemen and use very polite language when you are narrating. It shows a real sense of courtesy for these long gone people and also it is quite delightful to hear. I did try to get into Hello Fresh but they don't delivery where I live! Sorry.
