Great episode. I needed this. I have had a cortisol influx for months now. Our oldest son shot and killed himself in February…he had been staying with us for several weeks, after his wife kicked him out. I was already dealing with stress while he was here…but losing him has rocked my world. Not a day goes by without me breaking down. I am also the wife of an OTR trucker, and the sole caretaker of our two special needs teenagers. I have gained back 6 or 7 pounds in the past few months…I do live off of coffee (no cream, as dairy is not my friend). Had this happened two years ago, I would have joined my son in a heartbeat…the fact that I am still here, still caring for my family, still caring for my home, etc…it is all due to carnivore. This way of eating saved my life two years ago and it is saving my life now! ❤️

I'm not ever counting calories, I just eat beef, eggs, and sardines with mustard and olive oil and have been steadily losing weight with a few stalls in between. As soon as I start counting calories, I'm going to fail. The best thing is I have learned what real hunger and what real satisfaction in eating is, I feel like I'm not broken anymore.

I wasn't "stalled" as I still was up and down 3 lbs... but I did a 4 day egg fast where I only ate eggs and butter in that time period. Dropped 4lbs initially added back in meat, all good, added in s bit of cheese and back up a lb so cutting cheese out again and will see how things go. I ate 8 to 10 home raised farm eggs a day and the same in tbsp of butter a day. With being on the farm and having chores I naturally fast 18:6-19:5, two meals a day. Back to having meat I'm eating 6-7 eggs per day and 1/2-3/4lb of meat. I literally cannot stomach more food, though I know folks would say I am under eating. I can't get anymore down.

Thank you for this video. Looks like tracking it is. I have been totally stalled for 2 years. I gained 8 pounds November thru December of 2023. I was devastated. I have taken off 4 of those pounds. Honestly there is alot of noise in my head, of what to do. I subscribe to a lot of KZfaqrs, so that is why the noise. Lower fat, lower protein, stop this, try this. I am going to look up and study the TDEE. I am on those last few pounds. I really don't think I'm eating enough. I haven't gotten the energy I would like. Here goes.....

I think slowing down will help get out of my stalling weight loss rut. And eating earlier. I havent tried fasting yet. Just started Carnivore 6 months ago. 76 years old, 5'0", waist down 1 inch, lost about 7 pounds. I used to track on Keto. Isn't that wonderful! Epilepsy stopped! Such good news. Lots of good suggestions to try and learn from. Thank you Kelly! ❤🇨🇦

I agree with the members who mentioned cutting back the fat a little, that was a huge one for me. Hearing "Eat more fat! Add more fat! Eat a stick of butter!" from so many influencers really did a number on me. Everyone is different and like Kelly says, use your own life and your own results to guide you. For me, adding a lot of fat when i had a lot of fat to lose was not working for weight loss. Cutting back a little on fat and reducing cheese and cream consumption has absolutely resulted in weight loss again for me.

Everyone does better with different amounts. I’m like Kelly-feel better and lose weight with higher fat. But I can’t get that fat from dairy products, as it’s the CARBS in dairy that make me eat too much and crave more. There’s joy is finding out what tweaks work best for your unique self. I was so happy to be able to chat with you, Kelly and to hear the rest of the Carnivore's stories. I hope people are able look at the TDEE and track their calories, weight, activities and see the scale move like I've recently seen! Putting it in a spreadsheet has made all the difference for me. I could see what I ate the day before and what the scale does the next morning. It's allowed me to eat more calories. I'm active and I was under eating. I'm eating enough now! I lost weight initially on Carnivore then over ate for 2 years and gained 19 lbs. I'm currently taking it off so I can fit into my pickleball skirts that I wore two years ago!

my wife and I are on strict carnivore seven straight months with no cheating . She eats a lot of butter. I lost 45 pounds within three weeks and fixed fatty liver , type 2, and lowered blood pressure. My doctor was amazed and wants to take the plunge now. My wife however, was very healthy but over weight an lost eight pounds , gained back six and is super faithful. She is so frustrated. she watched a ton of your and others videos and used macros and made sure she was 80/20. Her measurements are the same. blood is the same, just does not seem to lose. I feel so bad for her,but she pushes on.

I joined and did tdee for 4 weeks, up 2 down 1 up down up down up, went back to listening to my body, eating to satiety and now down 7 lbs AND b4 u say she must not be eating enough. I counted calories for a couple of days and I am on track. Love love love not being addicted to food, not being tied to a n app, and not being addicted to exercise by walking 30,000 steps a day. A lot of people just change one addiction for another, I don't want to be one of those people. I have done that b4 in my life and it always eventually fails.

I've been cheating a bit; had a serving of pinto beans (with lard) and dish of flan on my son's birthday and Seattle Chocolate Truffle. It's so hard when the goodies are sitting out on the counter, and I have always had a sweet tooth. Regardless of these missteps, I am back down to 136.8. My goal is 132 (I am 69, 5'1" with a medium to large frame). My brain fog and morning dizziness is about gone but I still suffer from sciatica back pain than goes down my right leg from a pedestrian/car accident 20 years ago. I eat full fat yogurt mixed with lemon juice and stevia daily to improve my gut health and help move the oxalates out. I've been on carnivore (with the cheating) since January 1st, 2024, and down 5 pounds with a loss of 2 inches off my waist. I saw my doctor last week and explained to her what I was doing, and she seemed to be encouraging. I have been on anti-depressants for chronic insomnia for 15-20 yrs. I'm trying so hard to get off of these, but it has been very challenging.

I gain weight eating meat, I don’t feel full. So I have to do more keto so I can get veg to help fill me up. I’m lifting weights 2 sometimes 3 times a week and walking, I have started walking more too. I’m 5’2” 60yrs young. I also clean houses, so move all day. Right now I’m trying to tone up and get stronger and if I lose a couple more lbs. I will be happy. I have gut and histamine/MCAS that I’m trying to heal. I also have high cholesterol and thyroid issues.

My heart breaks for your loss. I know that is a repetitive comment you hear. It Is such a difficult problem to show the compassion you need. Keep eating carnivore. It is obviously giving you the nutrition you need to cope with all that you have been engulfed. Please remember that God loves you and will be there through it all with you. My husband passed unexpectedly 21 years ago. It is not something we get over, but rather, we find ways to overcome our deep and continual challenges. God gives us the strength, knowledge, discernment, and wisdom to overcome When we most want to give up. I firmly believe carnivore is a gift to us pioneering the way from dietary misinformation. We are fortunate to have the right food for proper nutrition. God bless you. Please continue to let us know your continued success. Thank you for being so open.

I figured out the hard way I cannot fast too long. I got dizzy at the grocery store and fell down. My stomach was growling super loud. I was not eating until late afternoon. I now make sure I eat two meals a day. I watch the ratio and limit my calories. Just bought a walking pad to start walking a few miles, I hope, every day. Stress seems to be a huge issue for just about everyone.

So inspirational!! I started keto in 2018 and stalled in 2020. I’m very interested in understanding how to use the TDEE to find my sweet spot. Does this mean your calorie goal for the day should be the TDEE?

I'm now 19 months carnivore and just HATE the thought of tracking. Like everyone, been there done that for years and it was useless. But now I'm stalled 5 months so I am getting the message. I keep a detailed notebook of my food eaten, blood sugar and ketones so I need to find a TDEE calculator. I've tried some of the food tracker apps and they are too hard to use. Thanks..

My recommendation-start carnivore for weight loss. Stay carnivore for all the other health gains. While staying, use your list of health gains as encouragement. Keep adding to it. Weigh yourself infrequently and be surprised when the scale moves simply because your body is less in distress. If that DOESN’T happen, it’s simply time to join Kelly’s group. She queen of strategies to end weight loss stalls. (Offers way more than tracking, and makes tracking super easy if you decide you want to collect some helpful data to help end your stall.) What a GREAT video, as always Kelly!! And I have a few TDEE questions for anyone who might know. I imputed my info in a calculator 1. (Does it matter wha one? I searched ‘carnivore tdee’ and found this website called critical carnivore 2. It says my TDEE is 2058, but then for fat loss (my goal) to eat at 1858-1958- when you guys are talking about eating at your TDEE do you mean the larger number?
@stalstonestacy4316
@stalstonestacy4316 13 күн бұрын
Hi, Carolyn. If fat loss is your goal you will want to eat the smaller number of calories in your TDEE as your bare minimum! Never eat less than that. If you use a food tracker make sure to use one that allows you to see your macros. Macros should ideally be anywhere between 0/60/40 carbs/fat/protein and 0/80/20 carbs/fat/protein. If you go over your calories sometimes, that's perfectly ok, especially in the beginning. Many new carnivores find that after a few weeks their appetite increases significantly and that's ok, too. Eventually your appetite and caloric needs will line up beautifully when your body reaches a happy balance

Great! I’m confused about the references to TDEE. Are you saying to stick to that number for calories, or start there and go up or down based on body’s reaction?
@myzerocarblife
@myzerocarblife 14 күн бұрын
I think people should always start off Carnivore trying to eat intuitively. If that doesn’t work, then I suggest trying what a TDEE recommends and gauge it’s accuracy by how your body reacts. Use that data and feedback from your own body to make adjustments. -Kelly

I’m confused too about TDEE. That means I could only eat 3 burgers and then a 100 calories of fat. I think I would be very hungry. This is the food amount to lose 1 lb a week

@@Kim-pr6glWhat’s confusing? Just plug your data in to carb manager, for me it says for weight loss eat roughly 1400-1500 calories a day when I’m sedentary. More if you’re active. I had 2 quarter pound burger patties, 8 eggs and 3 Tbsp of butter today which comes out to 1350 calories, so still under. That’s A LOT OF FOOD lol. I’m perfectly satisfied and slowly losing so it works.

Hey, Kelly. It’s Jeff Eldridge 👋 My weight loss also started kicking in again after consistently using the MyNetDiary app to count calories, carbs, fat, and protein. My new secret? Eggs! I start my day with three soft boiled eggs and a 4 ounce hamburger patty. I use about 3 tablespoons of butter a day on the eggs and for cooking meat. And it’s working! For lunch and dinner I’m doing a combination of eggs and steak. The scale is going down fast! I found my carnivore groove! Beef, butter, eggs while tracking calories, macros, micronutrients and exercise 👍😎🥩🥚🍳🧈
