Great vid, I just bought Faber bridge and tailpiece, came with new bushings the only problem I see is the new bushings are solid, no way to remove if needed, any suggestions?

Have you ever come across inserts that were glued into the body? if so, how did you remove them?

I don't see this sold on your website any more. (Only the vibrato kit) Where can I get the kit?

Question, is there a different between the slotted and unslotted? What are the pros and cons for it? Thanks for this video btw

Slotted saddles are cut here at the factory, on precision cnc machines, and hence much more accurate. If your guitar bridge is canted at an angle, then un-slotted saddles are recommended.

Hi, i got a chibson (chinese Gibson) and i'm going to upgrade It. The Gibson stop tail seems too much big for the hole in the guitar. Is It possibile o i Need only hammer and patience??

For some reason mine have slipped out due to string tension I guess. So I'm going to get the bushings out and re-install. Would some wood glue be a good or bad idea to ensure that they don't slip out again?
@johnnybravoski70486 жыл бұрын
celicharvel bad idea!!! A tiny bit of water, applied with a small hobby paint brush, should allow the wood to expand enough to hold the feral in place. Glue could make future adjustments a nightmare.

Wood glue will work quite well. It will bond to the wood, but not to the metal. Future removal of the stud will still be possible

My tech installed my stop tail, and did a piss poor job with the posts. Neither post is at a 90 degree angle to the body, and neither post is at the same angle to each other. And the worst part is the posts are both angled toward the head. Which makes the stop tail cam forward, slightly lowered the slots the strings sit in, (stop tail is a combo stop tail and bridge), and so some of the strings don't sit as deep in the grooves of the bridge as they should. So, you get the sitar tone, or a dull fuzz. I'd like to know what's the best way to fill those post holes, how long should the fill be in them before making two new ones..using the proper tool to drill the holes...a drill press, and not doing by hand, which is pretty obvious the way the tech did it. I spotted this when he was done, (he put in my tuners and my pots) and mentioned it. He mumbled something about his ex wife committing suicide the week before and uh.. The sitar buzz didn't kick in immediately...but now it's there. It almost makes me want to file a groove where the string wraps around to lower it before it hits the v coming back to the head, just to get the string to sit lower. I've tried putting half washers on the posts to get them to tilt back a bit, but no go...

You may not need new holes for your stud inserts... take the inserts out, wet the wood inside the hole, this will make the wood swell ... it should work depending on how much the holes have stretched but for god sake dont try using super gule to hold them in.... there seems to be this common trend here on youtube for using superglue for just about everything.... its just plain...Wrong

So sorry to hear about the poor installation. Unfortunately, without seeing the guitar in person, I would be hesitant to make any recommendations. Please contact me directly and I will try to help you get your guitar fixed. My contact info is on my website. Regards, John Mann

I'm worried about cracking the Finish when I hammer the new stud back in.
@mannmadeusa1254 Жыл бұрын
No need to worry. The bushing is smaller in diameter than where the finish ends, so you won't chip the finish.

I want these but I can't imagine taking a hammer to a $3K guitar..........
@mannmadeusa12547 жыл бұрын
If you have a USA guitar, no need to change the posts. The studs will screw right in. The issue is not the hammer... but the tech who is holding the hammer. He is either a skilled surgeon or a bloody butcher ;-)

MannMade USA or a foolish risk taker ill-advising others. Jeesh man.

they likely used hammers on it making it in the first place.
