Main thing is the sleep, that is litrally the most productive hours of the day(neurological connections strengten, and form most during sleep) so its a big win. Also right posture is always optimal, seems like you have made it a habit so(dont need to be consious about it anymore)its progressive growth. keep it up !

Even if your maxilla didn't grow in length, it does appear that it's been pushed forward. I know pictures can be difficult to interpret, so I compared the way you look in this video to the way you looked in your oldest video, and I do see some differences. There's definitely more of a "square," angular shape compared to before.

Nice Video. I'm turning 18 soon and hopefully mewing will change my face again. I've always been a person that had their mouth open especially as a kid, but I wouldn't say that it made my face look bad, I still had a nice nose, cheekbones, etc. But after I got my braces out, years ago, after 3 years, my face was messed up. No more cheekbones, crooked nose, droopy eyes, in general a recessed maxilla and I can't keep my lips sealed when sleeping. Hopefully mewing will get me those features back.

Bro if you balance the side hairs, you can see around a 0.7ish cm uplifting+widening of your side cheeks bone(near the ear). This means that your upper jaw has been lifted(even the eyelids ara got shorter, directing towards jaw lifting up)along with lower jaw a bit more forward( for refference, check the jaw bellow your lips that covers equal area to the lips precisely, if u compare it, its a bit forward) also shape of the lips look more defined/shaped(due to jaw movement, further indicating it definately occured) an xray should show the clear cut picture. make sure to take it in the same head position as of what ur comparing it with.

@coachpyry
@coachpyry Жыл бұрын
Hi Morris! I think that it's a combination of a couple exercises, but the one that has probably had the biggest impact on adding muscle to the mid face is called "Mona Lisa Smile". Essentially, you'll smile like Mona Lisa without using your eyes. I've performed this exercise daily, most of the time a couple reps of 30-45 second holds. I'll usually do more sets once or twice per week when watching a movie or a documentary. Try to get a "pump" in the target muscles. I've included a thorough video demonstration of this exercise and all the other one's I've done to the Breathe Sleep Perform program. The program includes a progressive myofunctional training program. Thanks for sharing! What are you referring to with functionality?
@cleit1802
@cleit1802 8 ай бұрын
@@coachpyry Benefits of your function with tongue and airway stuff. I think your bones are the same but the airway difference makes you look better. Like your whole face is more youthful looking because of it. I've interviewed various people who do mewing over 2 years over 20 years of age. None got any different results bone wise. It does not work on adults for forward growth. Reason why both Micheal and John Mew got their licensed revoked and facing trial.

I've got a posterior crossbite and I haven't noticed much change, unfortunately.

@@coachpyryinteresting! Do you think your tongue is small? So it doesn't push the teeth or something? Cause I slightly have posterior crossbite too and my tongue is big compared to my palate, like my tongue needs to fold on the side when I mew.. so they're "pushing" my teeth..
@coachpyry
@coachpyry Жыл бұрын
@@adaninurs Actually, I think that my tongue is quite stock-standard size, but it has enough space on the roof, so it doesn't have to fold to the side. I can feel that the sides of the tongue are pushing into the inside of the teeth. Hmmm. How old are you?

Which kind of medical professional you looked for the treatment?

First, I saw a dentist who specialises in sleep apnea solutions. Then I went to a myofunctional dentist. Finally, I did a four-day course in orofacial myofunctional therapy to teach myself how to fish. If you are interested, I’ve written a detailed account of my journey through the experiences with different professionals on this page: www.coachpyry.com/breathe You can find the article if you scroll halfway down the page. If we are talking about bone structure changes i would say nothing changed at all, and any changes in your face could be atributed to a numer of different factors, from phisiological changes caused by fluctuation in things such as hormones, body fat, age etc.But i think you should keep the training and get the xrays on the next editions, we couls get some surprirses in the future!

Mewing is huge copium lol I’ve been a mouth breather most my life and I have an above average jaw you know why? Because my farther had a above average jawline so by genes I inherited it. It’s genes lol only way to manipulate facial structure outside of genetics is fillers or implants or braces
@coachpyry
@coachpyry 4 ай бұрын
Great perspective. However, your view of it is limited because of the lack of appreciation of epigenetics. The simple explanation: Genes load the gun. Whether or not you come to realise your full genetic potential depends on whether you give your genes the right type of stress in the right magnitudes at the right times of development. This is the essence of epigenetics. Identical twins can grow to be wildly different looking and have very different health outcomes if their lifestyles and living environments differ from one another. Therefore, good for you that your jaw is above average, but maybe you could've looked like Brad Pitt with the right type of stress (proper tongue posture during critical periods of development) :)

This is grasping at straws. Your main benefit of improved sleep is almost certainly if caused by anything just muscle memory training of your tongue that persists when you are unconscious. Idk if voluntarily giving yourself the mind virus of always being aware of your tongue is even worth the literal minimal results, if any are there. Again, if you're staring at professional pictures and constantly saying "I think I see something but cant put my finger on it", it literally has no daily effect in the way people perceive you in real life. And friendly bias reminder to the mewing zealots in the comments... the literal dental professional in the first year after said there was no difference. You are literally just seeing what you want to see.

Thank you for sharing your opinions! I find the mewing zealots funny too! I think that you bring up great points. Tongue posture should be totally unconscious and learned during early childhood through breastfeeding. If you did, you probably think that this is all nonsense. However, if you didn't, then "infecting yourself with the mind-virus" might not be such a bad thing until you become unconsciously competent in this task.
