I think about ‘the poor women in the olden days’ multiple times a day. Not just for menstrual care, but for everything. Like did you know a woman could not open a checking account without a man until the 70’s. Specifically, my mom wasn’t able to do this until after I was born.

My husband had no idea the roman empire question was a trend and my friend asked him and he said he thinks of pretty often, like a few times a week. He was confused why he was asked haha. But he loves history and has sooooo much knowledge about it.

I have some learning disabilities and really struggled in school with reading-based subjects, so my mom showed me a movie about Helen Keller to teach me that it doesn't matter if you have difficulties holding you back, it does matter that you choose to overcome those and find ways to navigate a system that was not designed for me.

My college roommate and I loved Glee and watched it every week as it aired. We tried to convince our other friend to watch it with us for a really long time but she kept saying no cause she thought it looked weird. We finally convinced her to watch it and as fate would have it the week we convinced her to watch it was the grilled cheseus episode. She never trusted our judgment on a TV show again. 🤣

My top two niche Roman Empires are Beowulf and The Hobbit, to the point where I’m fairly certain all my college professors were thrilled when I graduated so they wouldn’t have to read another essay about one or the other 😅

I’m sure that I have Roman empires that aren’t coming to me right now, but one line that pops into my head is from the office where Toby is talking about his corporate camping trip, and he says in the weirdest voice “no more s’mores, no more s’mores” 😂 I also think about a scene in a movie that I only saw a part of when I was a kid. I feel like it’s the panic room, but I honestly don’t know! It involved a woman slitting the artery in the back of the bad guy’s leg and leaving him to bleed out and he says “you bitch”. I think about that scene every time I shower, and I usually have to bend my knees a little when I do because I imagine someone on the other side of the curtain about to slit the back of my knees 😭💀😂 Such a good episode, girlies!

Stopping the video to comment on the Titanic. If you watch the scene, Jack does attempt to get on the door with Rose. The door kept flipping over, and the camera shot stays on Jack, where you can see him accepting his fate. He almost nods to himself with acceptance and helps Rose onto the door. I still think Jack didn't have to die, and I had the same thoughts. Why couldn't Rose just make room? But when watching it again, you can see Jack trying. The movie and whole tragedy ruined me as well, Sierra. Was tearing up when you were talking about that particular scene with the mother and her children. Rent free.

My Roman Empire is how people with common ailments survived in the olden days. No eyeglasses, no cough medicine, no tampons, no anxiety medication, no special education, no insulin, no hearing aids...

I often think about how in the Roman Empire the rich men had a "bathroom" which was a communal area with a stone slab with holes like a toilet to sit on and a communal sponge to wipe themselves with when they're done doing their business. And it was a very social area... I took Latin in high school so I know a decent amount of Roman history so I would probably think about various items more often than others. In my opinion, ancient Egypt is the most fascinating.

I didn’t think I had an Roman Empires til you guys started talking about kidnapping and body image stuff and yeah, those definitely come up for me but I always labeled them intrusive thoughts. I do randomly think about an ex-best friend of mine who stopped talking to me for no reason one day and we never talked again cuz I have no idea what happened there and it’s curious to me. Other than that, I think about anatomy, biochemistry, immunology, and mycotoxicity a lot but I’m a dr so always have those thoughts running through my head almost constantly. 😅 Also, SO glad Taylor Swift came up! I saw the Eras movie last week and immediately had to go see it again the next day! I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I do and now all I can think about is how I can get tickets to her New Orleans concert next year! During grad school and the few years after I stopped following Taylor Swift cuz I was too overwhelmed with all the other new information I was constantly learning so Eras was cool to me but I financially couldn’t get hyped cuz there was no way I could go to the concert and concerts kind of scare me sensory wise (they seem so overstimulating!). But when the movie was announced, I was excited but a little scared to go cuz that was was a little outside my comfort zone still but I decided to do it and it was SO good! And it healed a little childhood trauma I hadn’t recognized yet so tears were flowing during it! Then I went the next day to enjoy it purely for fun. Now I’m catching up on the last 5 albums I missed and am loving it! And have no one to obsess over it with cuz no one I know is a Swifty! So I’m glad I can hear Sierra talk about it. 😊

Definitely give it time! She’ll probably come to love Taylor as she ages and can relate to the lyrics. That’s why Taylor is so loved anyway - her relatable lyrics. A toddler isn’t going to be able to relate to heartbreak, growing up, etc. And honestly, don’t rush it. A lot of Taylor’s discography isn’t toddler friendly anyway. They soak up so much and have no filter. They definitely don’t need to be running around singing curse words at school and getting in trouble or singing songs like dress.. like the idea of that makes me super uncomfy 😅

Sierra, I'm pregnant with my first. Before pregnancy, I was very strictly vegetarian for years and even used many vegan substitutes instead of dairy. I always thought I would NEVER eat meat again. The idea of it made me nauseas. But in the beginning of my first trimester one night I was tossing and turning ALL night because all I could think about was a thick medium rare steak with mashed potatoes on the side. I was so extremely overcome with the craving for it and was up all night because of it. I didn't know what to do because morally I didn't want to go there But like you said, there are no vegetarian substitutes for things like steak that would taste or feel texturally like steak. I was obsessed with the thought of eating one the rest of the next day, and I said to myself, you know what, I have food aversion to basically every food that exists. Especially my go to which is most potato foods and tofu. I took myself to a restaurant and got a steak and for the first time since pregnancy started I enjoyed food and didn't feel like I was going to throw up. Paloma does bring up a great point though, it has caused digestive issues because it's been so long since eating it. I only eat it when I am having that intense craving and try not to eat a lot. But a lot of times if you're craving something like that it can mean you need something from it. Like I have had iron deficiency anemia for years and have controlled it with iron medication but now that I'm pregnant the medication isn't doing enough so I believe that is why my body was saying I needed it. And I have no shame around that. I eat solely vegetarian at home still and plan to only eat it on rare occasions after pregnancy and who knows, maybe I'll go back to full on vegetarian again. You know your body best!

I was just thinking yesterday about the list of baby names on my phone and how I don't think/not sure about having kids. I am so glad I'm not the only one!

Definitely be careful eating foods that you're not used to. My date a few years ago ordered us an appitizer with chorizo not realizing that its pork (which I hadn't eaten in 20+ years) and I took 1 bite. I didn't want to spit it out because it was a nice restaurant but I ended up having a stomach ache after for a couple hours.

I didn’t have any crazy pregnancy cravings but once I wanted chicken salad sooo badly but I was grocery shopping and planning on picking up dinner from somewhere after. I grabbed a chicken salad from the deli section and a bag of rolls from the bakery and ate it in my car while I drove to and sat in the drive through line, using the roll as a spoon 😂

Now I want Sierra to name all the songs off every Taylor Swift album and Riayn to name TWO off every album.
