Those poor children in foster care. You might as well throw them into the lion’s den. I don’t understand caseworkers don’t notice the abuse right away. I feel so sorry for these children. They deserve nothing but love and care.

People that abuse children in any way, should also be abused in that same manner, age and size appropriate as long and as harsh as what they have done to that child, for the rest of their life just as heinous. There is NEVER a reason for this treatment of a 2 year old, no matter what the circumstance.

As a prosecutor, I appreciate a good, conscientious defense attorney. The State has tremendous resources and power, including many citizens and jurors who believe that, if you're accused and on trial, you probably did something illegal. Our system is designed to prevent the wrongly accused from being convicted. It's not perfect, but it's as close to ideal as any system in the world. Defense attorneys play a crucial role in the system, even when their clients are guilty and they know they're guilty, by forcing the State to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt based on credible, reliable evidence. It's very important, difficult and even noble work, and we should all be glad for defense attorneys because they help to protect our liberties - even the arrogant, odious ones.

@@kristcanya7039 I hope that if you or someone you love is ever wrongly accused, you have a dedicated professional who places their ethical and moral commitment to justice and fairness above their personal feelings defending you. An excellent true story illustrating how easy it is for the prosecution to get it badly wrong (because there are bad prosecutors, just like there are bad defense attorneys, priests, doctors, etc..) is The Innocent Man, by John Grisham. It's a great read, but very disturbing. Another really great and uplifting true story is the story of Michael Morton, an amazing man wrongly convicted of his wife's murder in Georgetown, Texas. If you can find the documentary of his story on KZfaq, you'll come away with a newfound appreciation for our system and how it's always being tested and improved, but only by brave, dedicated people committed to keeping America's promise to be a country of laws and justice.

Why I watch these testimonies I don’t know... it’s heartbreaking. Maybe because I’m in awe of these men and women who tried everything to help this poor little baby and what they do everyday for others. Maybe because I’m in shock two people could hurt a baby like this. I don’t understand it. She suffered so much. They deserve to die.

Michelle Lee is absolutely right! We use an IO line into the bone if there is no blood flow in the veins to put in a traditional iv and so then what we look for is flashback into the line from the blood in the bone marrow. In regards to how long she had been “sleeping” for it would be long enough for her to have died but not long enough for rigor or lividity to have set in.

This woman was quite the case. Boy was she sooo full of malice she just used this precious little baby for a punching bag didnt she? Her husband just stood by and watched and did nothing. I've never heard of anything so cruel. The 2 year old was the one hated the most. Lucky for her sister. After I heard about this I couldn't sleep at night. What a house of horrors it was. Her husband was quite the wimp. That dr that let her leave with an old broken bone and saw some bruises should be held accountable too. It makes me cringe to imagine all the pain that baby went through so over whelming. What a bitch. She wont make it in prison long.

Yes she is. I'm hoping she is doing a poor job on purpose and not actually trying her best. Smh. She actually asked if he could be sure that the bruising on her neck couldn't have been caused by pounding on her back? Even if that were possible to hit someone on the back and make their neck bruise🤦‍♀️, you would have to be dang near stomping on them and I dont care how untrained you are at the heimlich maneuver even a freaking brainless rock would know you dont hit someone that hard under no circumstance unless you are quite literally trying to kill them. Her questions, if u can call them that, are either repetitive, non existent or helping the prosecution more than her own clients. She asks a question and I bet everyone in the courtroom is looking like, WTF she just say?🤷‍♀️

When I worked as a floor nurse I would often have 20-21 patients to chart on and it pisses me off that this defense lawyer is making a mountain of a molehill in regards to missing data on shift reports. It’s difficult to remember to chart everything, especially if you don’t have time to do it immediately or if it’s unusually busy. I can’t tell you how many times I would lay in bed and all of a sudden remember that I forgot to chart something. It happens.
