It is important for dancers to have good leg strength. Greater strength in the leg creates speed and force, resulting in more powerful movement. Bharatanatyam involves extensive usage of Aramandi. A balance between strength and flexibility needs to be understood and encouraged among dancers to ensure that they are properly trained, to promote health and career longevity, which is the sole purpose of this video.
I saw that many of you liked the previous leg strengthening video and I wanted to give you an alternate set of exercises to add some variety to your leg workout.
Here is another follow along routine which will help you with Aramandi and Nritta. I hope you like it.

Okay so... My legs are SORE AND BURNING. Wow this is an amazing routine...great for really strengthening and challenging those legs. My araimandi is going to be on its peak after doing this regularly Thaaaaaaaaank you😊

Akka l love all your episodes Which gives everyone mainly a bharathnatyam dancer a meaningful answer and l tried every exercise in your episodes. it makes us hard making pain in legs and thy but after doing these we get a great answer with the perfection in our every movements like araimandi muzhumandi thanks a lot☺👌💐🌼

Nice exercises for the whole leg Starting from feet to the Glutes. Pressure on Quadriceps, Glutes, Hamstrings and other muscles of the upper leg are very much felt in Squat walks, Sumo to Narrow Squat, Plie Squat hold, Sumo to Aramandi pulse. Lower legs as well as upper part are very much felt in Overhead Muzhumandi, Arammandi Pulse on toes. I guess before long, you will make us dance with the Aramandis and Muzhumandis 🙈. Ha ha... I like the SMART method for Goals and special appreciation for the idea of "Areas of Improvement". These will not only help in dance goals, but they are universally applicable to any goal setting. Good practice trial for this Sunday. Thank you.

Oh yes! 5 rounds of these exercises leaves you with sore legs :D Feels good that all the viewers (including non dancers) are well acquainted with our dance jargons and terms! Yeah.. this goal setting strategy has been doing wonders for me since yore :)

very happy to see detailed leg routine for bharathnatyam dance can u help me in this i can keep my foot in 180 degree but not my thighs. this has been challenging for me as i have resumed dancing after 5 years. can u suggest a routine for this

Pain is a very loosely used term. Difficult to say anything without knowing the cause and intensity.

Hello dear Prathibakini ji. My age s 30. I started my dance classes a month ago. My left knee hurts while doing the Namaskaram. Doctor said its a common issue nothing very serious. Im doing your knee routine..So pls let me know which exercise should I concentrate more for this particular knee pain.
