RUST - Base Design: Cheap Solo Duo Starter Bunker (23 Satchels)

This RUST base design is a little something that Galthad and I came up with. Our goal was to make a cheap and effective solo / duo starter base. By implementing a stability bunker into the base we were able to keep it as a cost effective starter while also making it a 23 satchel raid to the TC and main loot.

finally! I keep getting the first day raided by people using rockets and explosive rounds... like the video I posted today..... and I'm sick of it. I didn't even have any loot coz I spent all of it on my upgrades. so thanks SOOO MUCH for the video it helped me out a TON! you're the best man! :D

u can easly pick metal fundation with couple of jackhamers. in 3 men squad picking will fast. so u should upgrade fundation on armor

One problem i discovered from experience- If you don't put a sleeping bag in it before putting in the half walls, you can't ever, and you could get killed through the floor

I like that you have a cheap starter that expands. BUT scary stuff to have a starter without airlock on wipeday. Que doorcampers.

I completely agree, it freaked me out even on my recording server lol. I did try and get one in there but it just wouldn't work. For example having a door on the tc failed because you can't get to the soft side of it to get rid of it. Or adding the square foundation and using it as an airlock but then you have heaps to get rid of when it's time to finish the build. That being said if you're on early in the wipe and you've locked the tc most people won't have the gear or patience to take it out. Also you can put a campfire near the door to check for door campers before you open it.

Incendiary Rocket in the wrong spot can really screw you though! They need to patch fire going through the walls and breaking twig >.>

Solution I found : instead of placing the twig halfwall directly in front of the bag, go one further out into the triangle (in between the square foundation and the first triangle where you place the sheet top on for your bunker) place a small box in your bunker where you can spawn in and access it (Put hatchets!!!) upgrade your bunker to desired level, then upgrade your twig holding to WOOD. It won't bleed through! Spawn in, hack away at the wood (takes 1 minute with like 5 stone hatchets) and your bunker is Incendiary raid proof!

Hmm, damn it. Tried to build it several times on a building server. When I kill myself, spawn and take out the halfwall. It do not break the floor? What do I do wrong? :)

If it's not taking out the rest then it's either something else is supporting it or the build server has stability disabled. You check if something else is supporting it, try placing the triangle and square floors without the twig half wall there. If it let's you place either of them then something is built incorrectly and is supporting them. As for the server having stability disabled, I'm not sure if you can check it without being an admin but see why happens if you type server.stability into console. Hopefully it should come back with either true or false.

Nice base but this is a solo base. Impossible for a duo base because only one bed fits in the bunker. The other player cannot spawn in the bunker without the other player gifting them the bag

Nah, I just logged on to double check this, every kind of metal surface including soft-side is a minimum of 23 satchels. Would like to hear your logic in case there's something overlooked?

@@endiproductions3759 Agreed, those doors are just an addendum to protect your trash loot and furnaces if you want that added minor protection. The bunker and the 23 satchel defence still functions without them.

well.... the only thing is you can splash those garage doors easily. so. not as much as you think to raid.

Nah my raid costs are just to get into the bunker. The garage doors are just so they have to burn even more to get to your trash loot. If they realize it's a bunker and hit the corner to take out the garage doors and the floor then the garage doors won't help but it doesn't lower the cost to raid it.

Raid cost is calculated purely on the bunker, you could take out the stone walls and all doors and its still a 23 satchel raid.
