Many thanks Mark got it right!! Watching your videos makes me watch more so your doing something right.i quite agree when I was 16 45 years ago I could not afford dealer services so my small bikes where not the best cared for so I try to advise my son on his Honda 125 but he's not a (biker) so don't care much. Only go's to a dealer when the chain falls off! Bank of dad!! Keep it up Peter

Hey Mark, i recently replaced the carb on my NRG and my old carb had a 63 jet but it used to cut out so i put a 70 and it runs but has no pull away power, i have also checked the exhaust and rollers and they seem fine, do you know what else it could be?

bogging down can be too much and too little so have you played with the air mix ?3 half turns like in my tuning video and work out or in once on stand failing that try 65 or 67 jetplease like share and sub bud mark

Hi mark just a quick question, would idle revs of a paiggio nrg be lower due to the cold weather right now or should I tamper with idle screw
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
hi bud thanks for watching, i'd say it was the weather but maybe worth a look and clean your plug and check the air filter as they can gum up in this weather if all good then a little higher cant hurt and easy to put it back when it gets warm please like share and sub mark

Hi mark, quick question. Ped will start instantly with kickstart but i cant use it as the pinion rattles (Speedfight) With electric start it will do it but will take its time. It seems to get going with a "pop" but wont keep going. Is it just the cold or something else?
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
MasterLehw hi bud Take the engine case off and take a look at the kick start , I have a video on how it works well should ! As for electric starter , I’ve had many bikes that do this but are ok when it’s warm and warmer weather It’s not the auto choke but more then do with the stator coil and battery power try giving the stator a clean or change the volt regulator which is a cheap fix but a lot of work to get to ! I’d sort out the kick start lol Thanks for watching I have many other videos that will help Please like share and sub Mark
@thebikerbrit13116 жыл бұрын
I know whats wrong with the kickstart the bushing where the pinion sits is warn so to fix it i need a whole new casing. And a decent looking spare is hard to find. Its water cooled and im not sure how to get to the stator, put a new charged/warm battery and it sparked up quickly. So it may be that. Ive never seen you go to the stator on a WC version so ive no clue and dont want water everywhere! lol

Hey Mark, I just have a quick question regarding speedfight 2 and variator washers. So in all your videos you say to throw the washer away. Now in my speedfight i have one restrictor plate on the actual variator bowl holding the weights and then i have a washer behind all of that. So the last piece of my variator, literally all the way in is a washer. Should I keep it or throw it away. I saw in another one of your videos on a different moped that the washer behind everything should stay. Is it the same or not? Thanks!
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
hi bid thanks for watching as for the variator you have a standard one fitted you can leave off the rear cage and the variator will work fin and you can leave the rear washer there, it's the washer in between the variator I chuck away please like share and sub mark

Alright sir, but if i remove the one that is furthest back in the variator what are the consequences? Does it affect anything att all the slightest bit?

OMG! That's it! My moped does exactly same noise when its turned off, now I am assured it has to be the clutch. Thank you very much Mark I think it is definitely worth it to buy the all new transmission kit including new clutch and variator etc. Thank you very much, I'll keep you updated after I do exchange them parts! How rear clouth is working? Is the spring when pusshed together engaging the cloutch?
@marksavage4 жыл бұрын
the force of the VARIATOR spinning opens it up but I always used to try and pull it together as it should have some force to do it but you need to check the pads they are like brake drum shoes bud

alright mark mate, ive watch loads of your videos and they have fixed many of the problem i have had with my scooter! thanks for that btw. but i now have a new problem it will not stay idle, its not the idle screw because that can be turned all the way it and it will still cut out,its not too lean or too rich and the throttle needle is fine out i believe there is an air leak but i cant seem to found where the leak is. and my scooter is a piaggio zip 50cc 2 stroke 09 plate. any ideas? thanks.
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
hi bud .it's good to hear that my videos help, I have worked on a zip and the videos are on here, as for you idle have you tightened the cable as you have an adjustment on that too, so you have screwed the idle screw all the way in and no joy so try the throttle cable adjustment that may help but otherwise you will have to take out the needle and adjust to the bottom so more fuel gets in, as for the air leak check both fuel and air pipesif they are hard change them and check the that the carb is tight to the air manifold see how you get on with that bud mark
@kieranmaxwellHD6 жыл бұрын
mark savage which end am I adjusting the throttle cable at? up but the handle bars or down at the carb end ? And and the needle is second from the lowest so 4 settings down, carb is tight to the inlet and where are these air pipes that need checking thanks for the help aswell!
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
up at the handle bars bud you can adjust that to lift the revs up a bit mark

Hi mark, quick question. I'm having a dilemma, i cannot decide whether to sell my 4 stroke kymco agility 50 and get a speedfight or an aerox 2 stroke. I would like to be able to do 50 not 40 like i do now, but everyone is telling me to stick with my 4 stroke as 2 strokes are very unreliable and i will break down a lot. Is this true? Thanks
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
Matti De'Beer hi bud Ok 2t do have reliability problems so it is true If you want more fun and speed then 2t speedfights and aeroxs and defo the way to go Just get one like I have worked on so serviced and starts rides well then no problems and will last fine Prob with 4t they run then die Where 2t run , die and go again lol Best go see a few test ride and make your mind up I have lots of videos. On fixing and servicing so there to help Please like share and sub Mark

Sorry for asking so many questions but, my clutch pads are really smooth, should i give them a bit of a sand with 120 grit sandpaper or just leave them? Thanks Mark!
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
Matti De'Beer no bud they are fine just wipe out the bell housing with a clean cotton cloth and also wipe the pads They should like like the ones in my video with a good bit of pad on them While off check the rollers too and clean the variator like in my other videos Mark Take care bud

Okay thanks a lot Mark, Yes i already replaced the rollers and i cleaned it exactly like you did without putting any oil in it ahah and it ran so much smoother and quite a bit faster. Very educational videos. Thanks
