Making the seats and some other small details for the truck cab. I don't find making the interior particularly exciting, but it makes a lot of difference to the look of a model and is well worth the effort.

Thank you for updating us - the square tube seat plinths are superb!

Thanks Del. I was thinking different ways of doing it then realised the 1" square tube would be the easiest by far.

@@OldIronRC ...which gives us a hint as to why they look so convincing - in those days they didn´t cake everything in plastic trim, so you could see how they´d designed stuff - and the simple practicality of your design seems to me to resonate well with the era. That, coupled with your lucky mistake in cutting them too short so you ended up sitting them on rails, makes the seating arrangements look most convincing, in my view.

Nice to see an update. I was getting a little concerned about you my friend. Hope all is well!

Yeah, sorry about that. I am in my hibernating Winter faze. The KZfaq videos are taking a back seat for now. A few years back I would have had about 1200 views on a fresh upload within 24 hours, this one is at 273. Of the 33 vids uploaded this year, only 5 have even reached 1000 views. Bit of a bummer really.

I have the SAME problem with my welding gloves. The stitching ALWAYS comes apart long before the glove leather has worn through!
@OldIronRC4 жыл бұрын
yeah, it makes me crazy. Once the stitching goes every hot blob of molten weld has to go in. I wonder if there is a fire retardant paste that can be smeared on the seams?
