Mr Old Iron, I'm 52, been a ASE certified mechanic for 35 years. And your projects are THE Best on the web! Been a fine scale modeler for over 40 years and just got into rc about 4 years now. And your builds make me motivated to build some pretty odd RC trucks. I'm more into aged vehicles that are not made in kit form. Wish I lived a bit closer, as I live in Portland Oregon USA, otherwise I'd bring coffe and doughnuts and my welder and finish some of your awesome creations! Absolutely love your builds!

@@jamesmagmer8929 Hey thanks mate! That's a real compliment. My bugbear with builds is electrics, I don't have the patients for it and get frustrated quick. That would be cool if we lived closer, it would be nice to have like minded folk tinkering on their builds together sharing knowledge and skills.

@@OldIronRC stick with it! I can't wait to see the crane move under it's own power! I have posted a few shot on my Facebook page if ya like to see what I'm up to. It's under James Rc

I was delighted to get a glimpse of FatBetty in her "Duel" guise! The Freightliner and crane both look tremendous.

I still want to a wee running video of the Duel Tanker. I'd like to borrow a friends smoke machine and have a bit of fun with it. Do a moody spooky movie trailer or some such nonsense. but you know me, slow as molasses.

@@OldIronRC ah, but you do already have a fair few beautifully shot, cinematic run vids to your credit, so we know what you can do. It might well be for the best if you do take your time and do it at your leisure.

Hey mate! Yeah, I needed a change of focus for a bit to snap out of the youtuber headspace. I think it can be a bit of a trap and we can become addicted to it, chasing likes & views. The neuroscience behind it is fascinating and also scary how we are being manipulated by the social giants. Also, heck, it's a busy time of year, lots to do.

Great to see you back on Utube my friend. The crane is looking awesome.Just a thought Check out Khmer RC DOE BORA. You could see how he uses old drill motors and right angle drill parts for the track drive system and using gears and old discarded drill motors to make the track hoe mover and turning the cab on the base. You fur baby looked comfortable.I lost my baby not long ago from having her second stroke .But she had a wonderful 14 yrs after I rescued her.Mattie was just a sweetheart.I hope you and your family are doing well. But honestly check out the channel I mentioned he makes all kinds of thing that he uses from discarded motors and gears
@OldIronRC2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert! thanks for the tip. Sorry to hear about your fur baby. We had a cat go the same way, had a good long life, but a few strokes and we had to say good bye. hmmm, speaking of dogs, I better do walk duties before my 2 decide to show me the result of bored dogs at home.
