Hi Rob. I was wondering if you could do a video showcasing the terminal ballistic effects of your muzzleloaders on ballistics gel. I’ve yet to see what Baker rifle rounds do to them. Also at around 7:48, I’m sure you meant to say “Snider-verse.” That’s how the folks of nowadays are reading it 😆. Take care.

Man, this year’s shoot looks like it was a blast (pun intended). I did have one I guess question. I recently acquired myself a Mark4 Martini-Henry and was looking to purchase a mold from Martyn at Xringservices but have gotten no response as of over a month from email being sent. Do you perhaps have any insight into if me might be swamped with orders or something like?

15:55 Do you not do HEMA yourself? Bayonet fighting, which is essentially a reincarnation of spear fighting and halfswording, has always interested me. It would be cool if these manual exercises were included in HEMA, too.

Great video 👍 I have a 1804 brown bess, and I am struggling to find out more about it. It has the EIC hart and Mortimer ingraved in the lock. Do you know where have these been used, or a website where I can learn more about it? I am searching the web for weeks now with no luck. 😓

@@britishmuzzleloaders That makes sense to me, although I got so many different information that I am not sure anymore. Also weren't these guns traded all over the world? I was hoping that you might know something. Thank you anyway 🙂👍
@britishmuzzleloaders3 күн бұрын
@@Squarecycle_ A marked HEIC musket (Windus Pattern) was made for the HEIC for use by HEIC troops, so no, not traded all over the world.... Remember that the Windus Pattern Musket was the HEIC's pattern.... it was this musket that was "copied" by the Ordnance to create the "India Pattern" musket.... a bit confusing I know...

Have you ever been seen or heard of a. 303 with a pinhole peep sight mounted on the butt plate? It was fired lying supine with the butt under your arm sort of, and the pinhole right up neaar the eye and an extra long barrel which rested on the shooter's toes.
@britishmuzzleloaders6 күн бұрын
Butt mounted sights were common in the era of supine shooting….
The total process of casting the bullets, patching them and the steps to assembling each round is considerable. The recoil abuse of 85 grains of black power and a 500 grain bullet provide are all factors revealing just how determined you are to shoot a Martini-Henry 577/450 rifle.
