Wow! Just a side note, great video btw, but cardio is actually very important. As a very muscular person especially (which is healthy), since you don't want to risk sleep apnea, which would have detrimental effects on all aspects of your life, including relationship, cognitive work etc. Please do at least some. Hi Samuel. I am from Uzbekistan Have u ever hear about International Chemistry Mendeleev Olympiad (IChMO) this olympiad harder than ICHO. I have silver medal in that olmpiad. Do i have good chances to boost my applicatoin with this medal ?
@Jess-re6om9 күн бұрын
Gold at Olympiads is not taken so seriously at MIT because these medalists learn a bag of tricks and work really hard to win those medals which is a barrier to out of the box thinking, passion, ingenuity, practical skills and more. MIT is known to have rejected Olympiad gold medalists for not standing out.
@SamuelBoschMIT7 күн бұрын
That seems rather unlikely
@Jess-re6om7 күн бұрын
@@SamuelBoschMIT The stats support my observation of MIT not viewing Olympiad medals with excessive favour because the profs know that success in Math and Science Olympiads are dependent on a bag of tricks and speed and have a time limit with answers to questions known, unlike research where answers are unknown and creativity and perseverance extending over years could lead or may not lead to breakthroughs. There are many cases where Olympiad medalists have been rejected by MIT and the Ivies. Open your eyes.
@Jess-re6om7 күн бұрын
@@SamuelBoschMIT I know many students at MIT who've never attended Olympiads but have impressive resumes that stand out and have been admitted over and above Olympiad medalists. I would rate winners of Science Fairs like say the Intel Science Competition (where gadgets and technologies and innovative research are rewarded) way above book smart kids solving artificial Olympiad questions using a bag of tricks that have very little or 0 relation to the reality.

@@SamuelBoschMIT Grace Sun, 16, receives $75,000 Top Award for a new kind of organic electrochemical transistor at the 2024 Intel Science Competition, the world's largest pre-college science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competition. Now compare this outstanding research project with real world applications to the outlandish, dull, twisted and unreal mathematics questions that have very little or zero bearing to the reality. I just read your entire resume online. It's a mess. You're confused and keep changing tracks. You need a consult a mental health care expert.
