Thank you so much for this video I know is not easy to expose yourself this way. I am in the process of getting the surgery and I am very nervous and having second thoughts. This video helped me so much ❤

Thank you so much for this today! I really needed it! You'll never know. I'm 61 years old, 5' 5 1/2 ", had traditional DS on 12-10-19, Heaviest weight was 428, surgery day weight was 416, current weight 350. Surgery went great. No problems related to the DS. But for the past month I have had other various health problems that have really gotten me down and I don't know if it's that that has messed with my head but now it's like my stomach is starting to reject the things I had been eating low carb that were working well with the weight loss. I could relate to so much of what you said. One day I can eat eggs and meat and the next day the thought of them make me gag and I have allowed carbs back into my diet, which, unfortumately, I don't have a problem eating :( It's enough to drive you crazy! You can't have any set meal plan. You have to wait and see what the alien in your stomach will tolerate! One thing I have found a bit of a solution for is the gas and odor of it. For the odor - I take 2 Devrom tablets every morning. If I'm going out in the afternoon, I take 2 more at lunch. They really do work! I get them on Amazon. And Gas-X extra strength chewable tablets help make it less. The Pooperi - not sure if I spelled that right, it does work, but you have to be careful - if you spray it in the toilet, be careful not to get it on the seat where it's going to make contact with any of your sensitive areas. It burns! Same thing if your poop splashes into the toilet water and splashes you - ouch! To take the smell out of the air after you've gone, I recommend Medi-aire Biological Odor Eliminator. Also available on Amazon. Works much than any of the supermarket brands. Thanks again for the update! I look forward to the next one :)

I had surgery back in 2023 with hernia removal and then experienced terrible cycles. I had to get a Hysterectomy recently because it was so bad.

My surgeon said we need to stick to low /no sugar and low fat (as low as possible) as the fat isn’t absorbed by the body and will come straight out. He said undigested fat “will clear a room” in a minute. The more fat you consume the more you will stink. You can get to a point where you just smell. Your breath , sweat etc. cut the fat and you’ll cut rem he smell. I hope this is the case cause I’m planning on relying on that theory. Good luck! Thanks so much for sharing

Gina Marie I remembered your video after I asked and watched them Thank you and thankful you are doing good I had the VSG Sept 26, 2019 and lost 85 pounds so far. My belly being small makes it hard for me to get my protein in but I do try. Again thanks for the encouragement.

what surgery did you get?
@GinaMarieUT3 жыл бұрын
I got the Loop Duodenal surgery. Some say it's the SADI (which they refer too) it's not the traditional Duodenal Switch, but they call it the Loop Duodenal Switch surgery.

You look great!! Congrats on your weight loss! I have almost the same story but I had sleeve. I haven't met goal. I feel I failed. It's so disappointing when others are so thin that had the surgery. Sorry, I know it's bad to compare but it's so frustrating that I haven't been able to lose more. Could you post what you eat and some suggestions on how to get the scale moving again. Sending love and light your way..
