It is lovely to hear from you. Your videos have been a wonderful resource for my family but also for many families here in the US. I facilitate the Family Connections courses and often refer family members to your videos as you have such a beautiful and honest way to express what life can be like. It also makes sense that life moves on and it might be hard to remember how things once were. It's like me looking at a photo of myself when I was heavier than what I am now - its me but sometimes painful to look at. I would just ask that whatever you decide to do, please preserve these videos because they continue to be a tremendous resource to more people than you know. Thank you dear Bas. May light be around you and above you and within you always.

Wow. I’m so happy to see you and to know you are doing well! I’m glad you and Amy are well in Ireland because I wondered what happened to you! I’m now in a specialized DBT therapy program which has a 4 month waiting list. Next month will be the 1 yr anniversary that I met my DBT individual Therapist and October marks 1 year officially that I signed the contract & 1 year ago that I joined DBT group skills therapy!! It’s been LIFE CHANGING!!!!! I’ve been OFF of my meds now for 127 days!! I’m doing amazing. Please stay true to yourself and do something that on this channel that you are comfortable with. Even monthly check in videos would be great. Maybe a vlog once in awhile or some BPD tips. Best wishes!!

I am so glad to see and hear you are doing well in Ireland. All the best to you and Amy. Sending you love and light!!! Have you thought of maybe creating a blog (written format like you said) with links to different tools those suffering with BPD can use? I always liked blogs that are informative but also has creative writing/art incorporated.

I would like to know a couple of things. 1) Did you do any treatment for BPD (like maybe DBT)? 2) if so, what did you think of that treatment plan? 3) How did you find out you had BPD? Did you suspect it even before your diagnosis? 4) how do you uphold a healthy emotional life during stressful periods nowadays, years later? 5) and just to dampen my curiosity: what country are you from? 😄 Thank you!

I've been with you for the past 7 years, you really helped me. I'll be watching whatever you post. I'd recommend reviews, reactions, these kind of cliches that also serve as common ground. I'd watch that!
@VIK_19035 жыл бұрын
Or talk about work, things you love, share what you do, like what you write or whatever. That'd be nice
@MeAndMyBlackTable5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Leonard. What kind of reviews do you mean? Like mental health book reviews for example?
@VIK_19035 жыл бұрын
Any kind! Not necessarily just mental health stuff. You have a fan base of people who identify with you. That's much more valuable than having a fan base of people who just look for tips on dealing with mental health issues(which you also have, so it's a win win). Sharing is caring. Everything you do and put love in, will be well received. Much love!

Great to know you are well! I agree with the comments that Instagram would be a great outlet for you to reach us who want to be inspired and learn from you. You are such an empathic person and the responsibility of reaching out to people obviously burdens you. Especially when you care about how the content and frequency of your posts actually affecting people. It’s completely understandable. This is your amazing life and recovery and that has to come first. You are a kind person and have helped me tremendously. Wishing you the best in whatever you choose to do🤗

I am so happy to see a new video of yours! If you'd like to use this channel as a creative outlet for you since you said you like writing, I'd love to see it. That made me think of some of your very old, rather "abstract" or creative videos where you portrayed certain feelings as people. If you're in a more positive place and mindset now of course it does not have to be about negative feelings. Anything that you post, I'd personally be happy and interested to see because you've really helped me so much when it comes to mental health issues.

We love you. Please talk more about emotions or moods. We have little information about these very important part of our identity. I am 45 and I didn't know that I have BPD until I saw your youtube video. I still need more information about how we know ourselves and how we control our emotional upside down and down side up. You are such a talented person, please talk to us please.

Please show us around Ireland like someone else suggested!! Perhaps you can emphasise the importance of play for BPD individuals and just make a fun vlog series. You could spend a day exploring something by yourself, and then show/tell us. I believe it would encourage people to engage in exploratory play in their own lives. Surely a Sunday exploring parts of Ireland would be a great remedy for the stress of normal BPD life. You are so likeable and entertaining and interesting. I would really love to see something like this. Hope you’re well, and STAY CURIOUS.

How have things changed for you. Not many men with BPD are just here to talk in general. I used to send all the videos to my husband to show him that he isn't alone and help. Things got better and we had a nice angel to complete our lives. Just in general talking about anything that you find relevant in your life! 😉

Honestly, even just having these small "snapshots" of your life is neat. I learn from example, and I see you as someone who handles things in a very mindful, healthy way. So maybe don't set a schedule, and just release something out into the world when you feel "inspired". If you try to quantify it too much, it risks losing its deeper purpose, whatever that may be. Throw the dice and feel it out from there. If synergizing with us makes you happy, you'll strike that balance eventually.

How about letting us into your life more, do you live in the country or city? If you would maybe do daily blogs and allow us to see what a normal day is like for you? Show us a tour of your home. Do you garden? If so, give us tours of your garden, and gardening tips. If you don't garden, do you get out into nature once a week, to connect your soul with the earth. Take us along, show us the country side, the ocean and beach lines. What are your hobbies? What are all of your talents? Why not share that with us. We all know you can sing. Love your voice, maybe occasionally sing us a song you have written along with you playing a guitar, or the piano. If you are a good cook, do videos and share recipes and show us how to make something. I would love to know who you are better. Each of us are special and unique. That we're blessed with Good given talents. Hugs to you. Do you have email? Or a P.O. Box address? I'd love to write each other once in awhile.
