Hey. My names Ellie and I'm from the UK. When I was diagnosed with BPD, whilst searching the web, I found loads of negativity towards the diagnosis. I stumbled across one of your videos at some point and they were really helpful to me. They helped me to see that what was (for me at least) a distressing and scary diagnosis, how it applied to me and accept it. As well as showing me that it wasn't all doom and gloom forever. You found humour as well as a clear understanding of what the diagnosis practically meant. They also helped my family come out of their own doom and gloom about this diagnosis, especially as it came straight after I'd recovered from anorexia and they thought the problems were fixed. I've literally never commented on a KZfaq video before, but I owe you some sort of thanks for the help you've provided with no incentive other than you could. I'm sure there are lots of people who, like me, watch videos like yours and say nothing. I'm still struggling, but your honesty on the rubbish aspects, and the fun videos for bad days have really helped me. So, probably for the first and last time ever on KZfaq, I'm commenting to say thank you. You've helped me a lot in explaining the diagnosis to my brain, my family and my friends, as well as making it less scary. Thank you very much for the effect you had. Genuinely, these videos have meant a lot to a lot of people around me. I know this is long, but I'm rubbish at being concise. Essentially, thank you and I wish you well. Ellie x.

Bas, it's already been a month since I saw this video and since you've been living in the U.K.! Congratulations on your move! I hope you both have found it one step closer to your goals and expectations. I could envy you, but I don't know what life is like there in this age. We all have our romantic and realistic notions of life in other countries, but I can say that I'd love to wake up everyday to British accents. Cheerio!

I don't comment on alot of youtube video but I am subscribe to your channel and I wanted to again say THANK-YOU you have no idea how your videos did help me understand my boyfriend who has BPD (As guys with BPD don't seem to be too public about it) and how to deal. I think it also help my parents understand this as well and how functionnal you guys can be if you find the right therapy and meds! My bf being more on discreet and pround doesn't say anything directly but I do believe that you did give him hope with all your videos! Thank-you for your positivity and your courage to be out of the closet about BPD it helps more people than you know! Wishing you the best!

Hi Bas, its Ellie, you sent me a postcard from holland, :) WELCOME TO THE UK ! I live in the UK as you know, missed your vids, havent been too good the last month, my youngest left school in june and treats it like a "go to bed 5am and get up at 3pm lol" i have to stay up with her, i keep missing 11 to 12 pm meds, they are antipsycotics and as i am allergic to them i have to take an antidote pill, which leaves me with tardiv dyskenesia. on anti depressants as well and 2 different painkillers, one of which is morphine based. and on sleeping tabs, (about 30 tablets a day,) nice to hear you in this country have fun!......Ellie..................xxxx :) ps...........Happy Birthday, ...!!!!

Lol that made me laugh when you said about people in the UK being so nice and people in the Netherlands being more direct, it sounds like America the Northeast we're very direct and kind of go go go (I guess think New York City) where as the southern part of the country is like a whole nother world just like you said everybody so nice! So you're looking at them like really!? Just an observation it's nice to hear that from another country! 😉
