One thing that irked me was how Luke couldn't attempt an apology to Aemond at dinner. Yes it wouldn't bring back the eye, but at least admit he did hi wrong.

Just found your channel and I must say, this is so refreshing to finally hear someone not worshipping Rhaenyra and her side. She's gaslighting everyone regarding her children, which is a high treason btw because you can't put a bastard as an heir. She can have thousands of bastards if she wishes so but she can't put an illegitimate child as her heir. And then, when she is finally about to get caught, she's just goes to her half-dead father and beg him to protect her, and she supposed to be our strong female lead... But what is great about this show is that both sides are right and wrong, so we can have endless conversations regarding our perspectives. Definitely subscribe and wait for more!

I'm actually kinda glad even Rhaenys realized Vaemond had a very good point, and the argument she made with Corlys all those years ago as well. Sure, it would've been the female line she was advocating for but, it was better than an illegitimate male line supplanting the main Velaryon line. She honored her Husband in the end, which is admirable, but at least she tried.

Great video and breakdown! I have to admit I definitely see there being some partisanship on the part of the writers. Especially in episode 8 and 9, where we are directly told Aegon is evil and directly shown his actions (I have doubts in relation to Dyana as the serving woman was very obviously involved in both that and in Mysarias pocket.) rather than give us a much more nuanced approach. They have an insistence too on simply ignoring or otherwise altering the atrocities of Rhaenyra and her side. Make no mistake if the end of episode 9 is indicative the blacks (Rhaenys) could commit atrocities and the blowback would be minimal and excused because it was a girl boss moment. Hopefully they fix this but I think the damage is done and 95% of the fandom will defend whatever war crime the blacks commit and by extension defend Rhaenyra because the writers picked a side before putting pen to paper and couldn't spell out well enough just how bad of a person she is.

I'm not really on either side regarding the actual ruling because I believe both aegon AND rhaenyra would be shitty leaders, but my loyalty lies with alicent. I'm ride or die for her and so I'm begrudgingly team green because of her and helaena (my green queens💚👑) and generally I just find most of team green to be more interesting. plus, in the 6 years that alicent and otto ruled the realms, there seemed to generally be peace among the kingdoms and the people. so again, while I don't think that either would be a good ruler, and I DO believe rhae is the rightful heir because she was named heir, I think that for the sake of the realm and the people, the best case scenario is having otto and alicent as close to the throne as possible. whether or not you like otto, he's good at the game of thrones and almost every suggestion he makes could have prevented the dance, had viserys listened. also, something about vaemond that I don't see many talking about is that with the velaryons being black is that his frustrations become even more valid. we see in game of thrones that racism is alive and thriving 2 centuries after the events of hotd, so we can imagine that means it was DEFINITELY rampent during this era. so, from vaemond's perspective, as a black man who's been able to make this title for himself and his family, it would be the BIGGEST disrespect to see his house wiped out by a bunch of white kids being posed as his relatives by a spoiled princess who believes she can get away with everything (and a big part of that is in viserys actually but that's a different conversation lol). one last thing, regarding the last scene with alicent and viserys; viserys has ALWAYS wanted to be "the good guy" when it comes to rhaenyra. he has allowed alicent to become villianized in the eyes of his daughter so that HE doesn't have to acknowledge the truth. so after nearly 2 decades of that, is it really so hard to believe that alicent just believed he was allowing her to be the bad guy again? that he was putting it on HER so that HE didn't have to be the one to tell rhaenyra he had changed his mind? because personally, I don't think it's that far out. frankly I'm tired of the alicent slander. I defend her like I get paid to lmao.

3:47 I don't agree with you on this point. The show Alicent and Aemond are much more likeable characters than their book counterparts. And I think the show does a really good job to balance the two factions' negative and positive traits. They handle it much better than the book (at least in the pre-dance chapters, I didn't read the dance yet so please don't spoil me anything)

I think that Syrax's three eggs are for Aegon (III), Viserys (II) and unborn Visenya, but I'm afraid that in the show they'll make the eggs that Illyrio gave Daenerys come from Syrax.

Viserys was under the milk of the poppy. We know Alicent has had a determination for 16 yrs to see Aegon, her son, on the throne. Of course she'd love to misinterpret that.

Rhaenys wasn't holding back anything from Vaemond, and she didn't want what he wanted. She wanted Baela or Rhaena to inherit Driftmark. She said so in the previous episode. It might be why she requested Baela to stay with her so she could train her. You skipped the part where she agreed to have Baela and Rhaena betrothed to Jace and Luke. The only way to secure house Valeryon going to one of Leana's kids and not Vaemond was to have them marry the current heirs of Driftmark and Westeros. Doing that validated them as Valeryons and jumpstarted Vaemond's freak out.

laenor accepted the children as his, bastards or not he claimed them so therefore i see no reason why his titles and properties shouldn't go to the children he claimed. he understood what would be required of him and he clearly never loved the children any less. even corlys is kind of in the same sentiment, his son says they're his so they're his. there shouldn't be any crying over it. team green is a bit uptight and considering alicent barely likes her children at all i can hardly say i'd want to be one of them
