Hey Rosa, I just found your channel and you have super interesting content. Thank you for sharing! I have a Bachelor’s in Biology and have been working in cancer research for the last five years, as an RAII . the last year has been in a clinical lab. I have tons of experience in the lab and am interested in becoming an MLS, but I don’t have that certification. Can I still qualify to these MLS jobs with my BS or do I need to take classes and get the certification first? Thanks and keep being an all star! ❣️ 🙂

Hi Rosa!! Random question doesn’t relate to the video lol but I’m interested in pursuing an MLS degree...but I’m terrified of having my blood drawn. I can watch it be done and possibly do it myself but I’m afraid of having it done on me. In school for u did u have to have urs taken? Or was it an optional thing.

Hi Haley! During my training it was optional to have your blood drawn or draw other students. You don’t have to have your blood drawn so don’t worry lol During clinicals depending on the site you may or may not have to draw blood. It was not required at my site but other classmates did have to. & hope this helps :)

We actually drew blood from fake arms to practice. :) No one will force you to get your blood drawn.

Thank you! I say its a career for someone who wants a challenge, loves science, doesn't want too much interaction with patients, makes a difference in health care in an indirect but very important way.
