So if you shoot with ninja v they are the same camera or not? i do not care about firmware updates that are made for using the cameras without atomos.

Yea, I’m having connection troubles too. 😅, I want to love this thing. I downloaded several Atomos App. Subscribe to their cloud, frameiO, and tried to use the device with a Sigma FP, Fuji 100S and even a BMPCC 6K G2.. I noticed at Bhphoto website, the ninja phone is “ currently unavailable “. In one video , which was at NAB 2024. You can see they are using the Atomos Cloud Studio app. That doesn’t exist now. I’ll give it a few days, if not I’ll buy the Ninja V. This thing could be awesome, but not sure what gives.

I need some help. What would be the best settings for recording a long podcast(1 - 2 hours)? I really don't care about the sound. I just want the fans to be always on. I've been having issues where they turn off for long recordings. I have 3 of these and it happens to all of them at least once for long recordings.

I use FX9 to record RAW by connecting XDCA-fx9 and ATOMOS ULTRA. However, when I adjust the EI in the FX9 viewfinder, the correct brightness and waveform height changes are reflected in the waveform graph, but not in the monitoring of ATOMOS ULTRA. The waveform EI and brightness of the external monitor do not change. How can I adjust the EI changes of the FX9 viewfinder and the external ATOMOS recording machine at the same time? This all I could find related: Here are some steps you can take to set up the FX6 and Ninja V for Cine EI mode: Go to the Project Menu and navigate to Base Settings Select Cine EI for Shooting Mode Choose a frequency based on your project's final delivery frame rate Change the Image Scan Mode to Full Frame Change the Codec to RAW Select RAW Output Format and choose 3840x2160 Go to the Shooting Menu and scroll to S and Q Motion Set the frame rate to 120 or 100 if you're in the PAL region ??

In 2019 we bought the sumo 19m and since then it has been a great asset for our TV drama and Documentary productions, however we never updated it but now we are having problems with the HDMI port we connect cameras or Macstudio and seconds later the image starts to flicker and then the monitor turns off, we don't know what to do, we were looking for the 9.3 update and found out that it no longer exists. Atomos what can we do?

Would be great to send directly from the Atomos to any IP, not only to atomos cloud. Most useful would be to use that in a private network for internal use!

I just checked compatibility with the Z9 on the Atomos website and the Z9 is NOT listed as compatible, yet it seems it actually is. Before I order one from B&H, I need to know. Thank you!

So.... 7 months since my previous comment. No update to control brightness of the monitor from the button bar and no way to control record button. I understand moving on to other endeavours, but leaving this unit in this version of functionality is really crappy way to treat your customers who invested in the product . The day the application stops being supported by IOS to control the functions of this monitor is going to suck as this product will be 100% unusable. I was hoping you would prove me wrong.

I feel like we are being lied to about how they shot this film. What actual difference would have been made using an Arri Alexa Mini in terms of footprint when you have a crew of 10+ people with you everywhere you go? I guess Gareth wouldn't be able to cam op a heavier rig? It honestly kind of feels like they were paid by Sony to do marketing for their camera. Like just look at the BTS footage and it is a bit absurd how despite the small the camera, the gimbal actually keeps the rig somewhat large.

Please note that although the Sony A7C is not currently included in our list of compatible cameras, this does not necessarily indicate that it will not be supported. If your camera has a clean HDMI output, it should function. Based on the external specifications of the camera, the resolutions and frame rates that should indeed be supported for external recording are as follows: External Recording Modes: 4:2:2 8-Bit via HDMI UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 23.98/25/29.97 fps 1920 x 1080p at 23.98/50/59.94 fps 1920 x 1080i at 50/59.94 fps Therefore, you should be able to connect the new Ninja with your camera. Bullshit, raw is just as good as internal XAVC-I. the whole movie is there to push for Sony RAW via ATOMOS ProRes RAW which is barely usable. Can you make a movie out of it ? Yes as we can see here, is it the most efficient way ? no. They had to use FX9 when camera sync was needed. So many workarounds just to promote FX3, Atomos and other consumer crap. The whole movie is an advertising for certain cinema gear which worked well.

the more I watch these interviews, the more I realize this film was probably sponsored by Sony. I don't believe they had any benefit from the FX3 over using actual cine cameras. It is a nice idea that a pro-sumer camera can produce Hollywood level imagery, but look at the rig Gareth had to hand hold with the gimbal. It is just as large as a an alexa mini or Red Komodo would be.

Mannn this is crazy! I just literally started into looking into raw. I have the upgrade and the slowmo upgrade as well on my Sony fs5. I've had it for 2-3 yrs now and it my daily work horse. I always wanted to see the raw footage but no luck on KZfaq. Anyway I say all of that to say this. My buddy just recently told he'll sell me his for $150 but it runs how after 30mins. Is that a easy fix? Or just buy it new? Because now I'm ready to shoot raw and take my footage to another level! Thx ya for reading!

DO NOT buy Atomos products. I recently purchased a 7" monitor/recorder that worked for about one hour after purchasing. I informed Atomos that their product stopped working. They replied with an email stating that I try steps 1, 2, & 3 to ensure I did not make an obvious error and to provide a video to them to prove I am not a ignorant clown. So, I did just that and Atomos resposded to the videos I sent them with cricket chirps. Atomos is a worthless, corrupt company that steals your money. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!
