With shops and mechanics trying to upsell and rip off unsuspecting people so often, its nice to get an idea of what needs to be done so you can either do it yourself or decide if their quote is reasonable or not. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. Liked, subscribed, and commented. I hope your channel grows and you are able to profit from it. It's time consuming to put video content together and not enough people show their appreciation.

Most of the fans are 3 speed.. just look at the motor name plate. If it’s 3 speed motor but marketed as a 2 or 1 speed pull the conduit gently away from the fan. Run new wire off the deadheaded ones and get the 3 speed RF controller. Hook up is very easy!!! The RF controller is worth the $125

If Mazda dealer techs were trained on this video, some damage could be avoided. The factory service documentation is not as detailed as this.

Lower tensioner bolt broke recently after replacing the tensioner a couple weeks prior. Tried to drill into it (after drilling a 1" access hole into the frame) and use an extractor only for the extractor to break too D: Not sure what my luck would be trying to drill out the broken extractor + bolt again. Starting to wonder if it would be better to drill a larger hole into the sideways insertion channel and use a heavy duty threaded bolt sleeve + a shorter bolt. Accessing the bolt from the side isn't a problem with a hole in the frame.

Did you prime the new tensioner? Mine came with explicit instructions to pump it 5 times slowly after torquing the bolts.
@radeksvoboda7629
@radeksvoboda7629 Ай бұрын
The pump is just useless unless you seal the screw, which I don’t want to do. I ended up pressing the brake pedal, much easier.

Any other suggestions for jack stand locations when lifting up the front? I recently had to get a new wishbone fitted, I suspect this could have been damaged when i lifted it and put a stand under there a few months back

Thanks! Used this to fix the door not opening from the inside. Great explanation on how it works. Though I ended up using two layers of heat shrink tubing instead to hold the broken pieces together. Didn't have a grinder or spare elbow piece. So far so good!

ALWAYS use the recommended brake fluid for your automobile. NEVER just put DOT 4 if it calls for DOT 3…. unless the Dot 4 fluid is backwards compatible with Dot 3! You should NEVER mix the two because if you sell that car after you have put the incorrect fluid in…. and the next owner puts the correct, recommended fluid in….. there could be problems. Always use the recommended brake fluid in your manual or what’s recommended on the brake fluid cap. This guy gave some incomplete advice.

Thank you! Our 2014 CX-5 was a little different. The two screws in the rear of the console are on the sides underneath decorative covers. You have to move the front seats far forward to get to them. The mar-free way to remove the decorative covers is by shoving the edge of a credit card under either the top or bottom edge (not the sides), and pulling outwards. Other than that, everything was the same, and your instructions helped me a LOT. Thanks so much!

INCORRECT TORQUE SPECS The torque specs in the manual you're quoting at the beginning are given in three different units. You're quoting the first set of figures as foot-pounds, but these are the Newton-meter specs. Within the parentheses, the next value is in kgf-cm ( kilogram-force centimeter). Finally, the second value within the parentheses is in foot-lbs. This is shown briefly at the bottom left of the page at video point 0:38. So the upper strut mounting nuts should be torqued between 33 to 44 ft-lbs, and the lower mounting bolts should be torqued between 96 and 111 foot-pounds. About 35% less than what you quoted, give or take.

This was a horrible tutorial. How do you keep the fluid from flowing out of the return nozzle on the reservoir? The fluid just goes everywhere. I didn't see you cover this anywhere in your video. No way is a little water bottle going to catch all that fluid.

Save time. Cut off the water pump belt instead of taking all that time to remove it. Second use a $10.00 Stretch Belt Installation Tool.
