You definitely had some emulator issues or controller problems in combo with sucking really bad at the game. After tweaking settings on ppsspp and my controls it was actually easy to 100%. You had a few decent points but other than that it was just 30 minutes of yapping

No. The first (and most obvious) flaw was the separation into two games (which is noticeable when reaching the middle). Then Sonic has the problem of partial automation of the game due to speed (although in the classics the problem was minor, non-existent in the first game). In terms of game design, several levels had elements that slowed down the game rather than adding a real challenge (and several bosses were very slow). Additionally, the lack of a difficulty selector was a problem (both for this and the previous ones, considering that Sega often added them to their games) since they were relatively easy games.

Azumanga daioh also helped me with a depressive episode. In late March to mid-April this year, I got in an incident that eventually led to me banned from a discord server I was on and considered a secondary family. I do admit I didn't handle the situation well, but I don't think I deserve to be banned, and none of the mods let me contact them, so I was in a very upset mood then. A few days after the ban, I started watching the show and fell in love and I think it help me deal with my feelings better. Sadly I finish the series by May and it would become a miserable month for me but I have since gotten better.

I agree that anime doesn't need to have a complex plot and slice of life is just as valid as any other genre, but I think the main criticisms come from the fact it follows high school girls... Like almost exclusively. And plenty of these anime, including Azumanga, get questionable at times. I definitely think that's the main reason why most people, especially adults, feel put off by it.

Alot of this is just a skill issue. The game has plenty wrong with it but you sucking at it sorta muddies the review (Trust me though, being good at this game isnt a good thing either)

I remember playing this as a kid on the psp, the giant ship was such a pain...

I was a kind of guy that only watched shonen and shitted on anything else, Azumanga changed me when it comes to this and as for now it is one of my favourite piece of media ever next to attack on titan, monster and adventure time

After seeing this I booted up my PSP because I don't remember this being an issue, and yeah I could no problem fly the entire time up and down and any direction. The rest of your review is fair, but this one part is not the game's fault but rather just you being unlucky.

I was gifted this game and the psp jak and daxter as a child during a time period in when they were my only proper handheld games back in the day barring some bargain bin games for my DS and the sega genesis collection. I have a soft spot for them and watching negative retrospectives for that reason is almost strange but I honestly agree with all the criticisms. I was frustrated with these games as a little girl but I grew to love them. Over the years though I kind of realized how mediocre they were

The struggles with moving Ratchet around are due to a setting in PPSSPP. The analog stick does not reach the square corners of the movement range because the range is circular. There is a switch in the PPSSPP controller settings to allow full access across the range square. After this Ratchet moves like he should 😁 . It makes gameplay a lot easier, although like you I still struggled with the camera controls. The areas where you need to switch slingshot targets in mid-air are the worst as they are usually outside of the image window. Still, I enjoy it for what it is. It runs quite well on my old Samsung Galaxy S8 paired with a Gamesir X2s controller and it's a great way to pass the time on long car or train rides 😁

Dude, for the love of god, compress your audio!. You can have the sharp tonal contrasts and distortion for whatever stylistic impact you want without traumatising your viewers (especially the nocturnal ones) with horrific panic inducing volume peaks every time you swallow the mic. Honestly, I am less than half way through and very close to abandoning this otherwise fantastic video because I'm dreading the possibility of yet another scramble for the volume slider that comes with every sentence. I am watching this in the early hours on a laptop in a room with thin walls where I need to be considerate of my neighbors and I'm so glad that I did not happen to be using headphones because the physical stress your audio has caused is bad enough as it is without having actually ruptured my eardrums which it would have had I been wearing them. Like I say... if done well, you can keep all of the qualities of the mic swallowing trope without having massive level changes with compression and it is easy enough to learn. It doesn't take long to master an audio file for video and with a little bit of experience it can all be done in the recording stage so there's no additional work to do in the edit... Good luck with your audio engineering journey.
