I agree 100%!! As a professional black woman in corporate America making 7-figures, I can tell you that high performing men want accomplished wives and life partners and they are absolutely interested in your accomplished daughters. Men who have no control over their own lives are the only ones looking to control you because that is all they have to show for their pathetic lives. Do not under any circumstances dim your light for a weak, underperforming male. Successful families raise successful children and although my husband makes less than I couldn’t live without him. He is the backbone of our family and we have worked our butts off to raise 4 wonderfully brilliant children, paid for private school, college, set up trust funds, traveled the world, and are in the process of building a business TOGETHER!! Our community does not have the luxury of playing these games. If the men can’t rise to the occasion, leave them behind and keep going!!

Agreed. I'm a 6 figure making BW and when I was dating BM, it was either they wanted to borrow money, were hoping to have me get them out of their financial situation, or they freaked out when they found out what I did for a living (and surmised I made more than them). None of the WM I dated needed my money, and most thought it was cool. I married a WM who makes enough for me to stay home, but I like having my own, so between the two of us, we save like crazy and also travel six times a year. We have no debt, and we live within our means, which is bigger than most, and we both work hard to keep it that way. We don't live a flashy life (i.e. I still drive a very old Civic, and don't own a single designer purse even though I can afford it). I couldn't be with a man who expects me to depend on him financially while complaining about any small purchase I need to make. Nope! I did that as a kid, not doing that as a grown-ass woman.

You are absolutely correct. Can't win for losing. My advice to my daughter is to try to find a husband while in college when both of them are broke and build together. The truth is that not only men may have issues with a woman who is more financially successful than them but financially successful women sometimes resent having to be the breadwinners even if they deny it. It doesn't bother them initially because they are in love but once the monotony of everyday living and raising kids sets in women start to realize that being the boss babe is not all it is cracked up to be and then desire to get off the hamster wheel. Of course if she is the major contributor to the money pot she can't stop working and the resentment builds sometimes unknown to the woman and this can wreck havoc on a relationship. This is what my experience was and I don't want that for my daughter.

Yes. Kevin Samuels was wrong. The most successful men in most genres are thrilled to partner with a smart, successful woman. He realizes she will be TEACHING HIS CHILDREN one day. If a high value man ends up with a young, financially desperate woman - he will be looked at as a man with a fragile ego. The wives of those successful men will NOT accept this ‘arm candy’ wife. Kevin was so wrong with this advice. THAT WAS KEVIN’s own insecurity showing.

I'm a millennial woman and I just find it odd that so many men find it "intimidating" when a woman has a life of her own and knows she has free will. The same women who's lives revolve around her man are the same ones being called clingy and smothering by these men lol. Wouldn't you want to be with someone who is fulfilled before they meet you and love from an overflow? Simultaneously, These same men shame women who are "bums" and claim "femininity isn't enough" to bring to this metaphorical table they always like to bring up on these red pill channels when they don't have any goals. It's so confusing! A relationship is a collaborative partnership I hope (I'm single but this makes the most sense to me)...both parties bringing their best to create something enriching and stable to build on. No woman or man should be that reliant on another person for their wellbeing. It's your partner, not your child. Some of these men just need to get a dog instead of a significant other if you need that much control over someone or a situation. Just seems like a weird power play and gives off "I want to be the smartest person in the room" complex. I knew several women who was in this situation. They were with "high value men" when they didn't really have anything going on, then the second that man would get mad at them for doing something they didn't like they were all kinds of bum b***hes and would talk down to them for being "less accomplished". Makes no sense.

@@rajatsharma119 I hear what you're saying, around men often, and have older brothers but I'm just speaking as a young woman who's heard a lot from gen z and millennial men who consume this kind of content and try to have it both ways. Also wanted to add having a life of your own is not limited to career aspirations only. There are some guys who feel threatened simply because you have hobbies that you enjoy or simply being cultured (well traveled or educated). I'm saying many are looking for "traditional women" with modern perks when it's convinient to the man at the woman's expense. Have the kind of woman you want to have, but don't complain about her not doing xyz or being a bum if you want a woman who's not on your level financially and you want to run the household. Take what comes with that is the main point. Not sure the of the kind of successful women you see in your life who are established but all the women I know who are very successful aren't type A, go to therapy, etc and have supportive partners who are also ambitious. I see what you're trying to say but in general I think society as a whole (especially younger generations) have unrealistic expectations when it comes to relationships due to social media etc

With the high cost of living, women cannot afford to wait around hoping to be married. Because if she doesn’t marry or she marries a man and it doesn’t work out, she has to support herself. That said, She has to support herself before getting married, after marriage is over and definitely if somehow she doesn’t end up getting married.
@hammerambos141
@hammerambos141 Жыл бұрын
The issue is not whether a woman should work to support herself or not. Its about whether she becomes more attractive as a result of her earnings or not. The findings are that she does not. Why is that, when the opposite is true when its the man successful? Its because material things are only important to women when it comes to chosing a partner. A man was born to provide and to protect, so what does he have to do when the woman has taken over that role? That is the reason why a woman can have as much money as she wants, but that would not increase her attractiveness compared to when its a man. Men need to prove their worth, and they do that through being successful, while women have their value already. So in a sense this whole movement of trying to get women to be higher earners than men is destroying the human society by imasculating men. Women can work if they want to - or not work and still be protected. Men MUST work or else they sleep under the bridge.

Successful women who don't know how to appreciate men & let a man be a man, who challenge men at every other turn aren't who some MEN MEN want. I’ve been fortunate enough to use those tools to position myself away from men who believe what the males mentioned in this video do. This has allowed me to clear the fog and be able to identify what values are important to me in my potential husband. The rotational dating pool is also better quality- men with integrity and responsibility to their communities.

These guys are obviously insecure about women with their own financial provisions maybe he’s envious because he is not feeling adequate in his goals and his ego knows he can’t use $$ to control her. So he has to tear her down to feel superior to her. These same type of dudes will take up with a so-called trophy and then get pissed when she wants child support and alimony. One thing I will say is that I think lots of us allow our accomplishments to define and lead us. I’m not saying downplay yourself but keep in mind you are seeking a life partner not a co-worker.

So glad you made this video! This world is something else. For a while I thought I was imagining this. My daughter and many of her college friends have mentioned this issue out here being so real. Conversations dealing with this same reality because she and her friends have graduated with their engineering or science degrees and most heading to medical school and law school. They have been consistently diminished and made fun of by many of these same types of men for excelling and for choosing a highly successful career field. My daughter and her friends (all beautiful black women) will have their medical degree (MD’s) and law practices before the age of 27 and they are concerned that their salary and accomplishments are viewed as a downfall. Now as a mother, I am experiencing this first hand as a single successful career women and I often wonder the more I continue to excel in every aspect ( financially or emotional intelligence) is singleness directly related to my tax bracket?

Your daughter and her friends should date out ,open their options and marry up. Being in a hypogamous relationship is beyond traumatic spiritually,financially, physically ,mentally and so on. We ,BW,have been groomed to marry down whereas unestablished BM had the green light to seek successful with low self esteem women. I’ve seen from my own eyes nurses marrying taxi drivers , teachers with job hoppers and so on. Keep supporting your daughter to aim for a blessed hypergamous mariage and NOTHING ELSE.

They will have to open their options, like the other ladies said. Your daughter and her friends are entering into a class that most black people are not a part of, especially Americans. They need to be around men that are used to women who have similar aspirations (whites and Asians). These men are operating with a low class, ghetto mentality which doesn’t value academic success.

If a man rejects an adult woman because she can take care of herself he is basically admitting by default that he has nothing to offer. If a woman says I can take care of myself all I need is a man she's basically saying all I need is love from a man and by that man rejecting her he is saying I am incapable of Loving You. All that other superficial stuff is a facade and a mask to hide their lack of ability to love. Because how can a man love a woman if he can't love himself? I think the bigger picture is the black man and self-love. When the black man loves himself he will no longer put down the blackwoman and he won't be insecure.

at a point when dating I was really scared to tell the men what I did and where, because they could google my job and see how much I was making and start that guilt trip thing, so I would downplay my role like I was a receptionist. My mom and my brother had to literally shake me to be truthful because I was a testament to wanting more out of life while going about it the honest way. When I started to open up, I had to weed out alot of insecure men who had the KS mentality yet, were making excuses as to why they was complacent in their situation. I'm branching out of my environment and meeting people with abundance mentality and its been great seeing this. It sucks though that I had to hide my passion just to protect the fragile ego of some insecure dudes I thought wanted nothing but the best for me. It really sucks.

In that era, i think it’s important to note the affect of the crack epidemic and how it took many men out of their positions in society. An Asian man once said: "I do not understand the western ideology that money or the love of money is evil. In my country, money is power. With money, you are a dragon. Without money, you are a worm." Ever since learning that, I view money/the love of money in a whole new way. We are the only culture that idolizes success as long as it is equated to sports, music, movies, and struggle/pain. Success from hard work, education/knowledge, intellect, etc should be celebrated, too.

From 7:10 to 7:45 is the honest truth... It is utterly inexplicable to me how KS adherents don't realise that equating a 'HVM' with basically a '6 foot tall walking wallet' means that any man who doesn't meet that criteria is not a 'HVM', and that while they cheer him on as he degrades women, he is actually easily the single biggest factor in the growth of the divestment movement. Quite simply, the rationale is, if what I want isn't available in this community, then why stay? If what I have isn't valued in this community, then why stay? If what I have worked hard to achieve isn't valued in this community, then why stay? It's no different to asking the question of a company that you work for and substituting the word 'community' for 'company'... when you invest in being your best self, if that investment isn't appreciated, WHY should the unappreciative benefit? KS and his ilk have boosted the divestment community and degraded black masculinity for social media likes; it will be QUITE interesting indeed to see what results they reap in 30 years' time...

That’s bs tho. As a white man, while I personally find “success” (in quotes bc I don’t really base it off of capital success) attractive, this insecurity and desire to be “dominant” is just as rampant among every other demographic of men. From what I’ve seen, it comes from being told (from a very young age) that the man should be the sole “breadwinner,” and other mentalities that generally equate women to children so far as both are considered objects of paternal control. You can’t control someone who doesn’t need you, so within this framework you wouldn’t want a “successful” partner. This is generally an American ideal, and since we’re aware that America was founded and developed on principles that uphold white hegemony and supremacy, it’s just silly to say that white men don’t also do this (because we basically started it, at least in the U.S). I could write endless anecdotes about all the white “alphas” I’ve dealt with in my life, but I obviously I can’t prove it to you that they exist via anecdotes. If you want proof that this behavior is not exclusive to black men, you don’t have to look very hard. unless you were being sarcastic, in which case im about to look real dumb

@@zuzu-fe5roAffirmative on your point: I have seen men of all kinds in the manosphere who have this attitude. To them, I am studying physics because I am "seeking a husband to support me for life like a simp." These men literally would turn away from me because of my career aspirations. I admit that my career may be a bit more masculine in terms of the demographics, but I really am going for this career because I don't see a future where I could be supported by any man. Not a single man has ever seriously wanted to date me, so I have zero experience with dating and I'm secretly terrified of dating a possible narcissist or psychopath (chances are very high, because I was raised in a narcissistic family and still have trauma). I don't think I will ever have anyone who would support me, so I chose to take responsibility for myself and work on my goals and turn them into a solid career. Nothing against men, I guess I just don't have what it takes to be considered traditionally, conventionally attractive, because men have never been serious in wanting a relationship with me and I was too careful about dating to ever give them a chance. These same men who tried to date me (they wanted casual only, I didn't accept) also turned out to all be players.

Yes, HE should be prepared or preparing to provide, protect and profess his love to you and his family. IF he's NOT the same race or culture, don't look away!! He may be the one God has for you. Shumake it is a little deeper than that. When didn't black women work out the house and for those who were stay at home mom's it was not the majority. Women are starting to walk into there power and raising their standards 👏. The eighties alot lot of women lowered their expectations and because the pool was so low, they put up with way to much. But this generation is like I ain't going through what my momma and aunties gone through. So these men don't want women to expect more of them, so they want to have their cake and eat it to and put up with whatever crap they want to push out. That way they don't have to step up and commit to anyone outside of themselves.

I don't think it is so much a "color" issue, as it is an "insecure" man issue. I am white, and have had 2 men in my life where I made more money than them. Both of them were jealous of me because I made more money. I loved them both for who they were as individuals. I didn't pressure those men to make more money, and respected them for who they were. I was just happy for what they brought to the table (they both had excellent handyman skills - the one thing I most needed). They could fix anything around the house. Each person has a unique set of skills, and we are worth loving because of how God made us. In a perfect world, we would others as God loves us. Great vid. Thank you for bringing up this topic.

I have noticed that my husband's friends that are in IR relationships are all with women that are financially dependent on their husbands. All his black friend's have spouses that have careers or businesses and are financially secure. Some black men do not like women that are not needy so they seek out other women. I work for a global company so I interact with people all over the world. In most cultures, men seek out women that are educated and valye the fact that she is bringing something into the marriage ...other than just looks. Most black men are only interested in what they perceive as attractive .. value does not count.

I went through this. My ex targeted me because I was successful and independent. What he wanted to do was come in and take what I built and call it “ours”. He wanted to be in control of what I earned. He would always tell me how I so stupid to be so smart and have degrees. He tried to make me feel incompetent. He’d constantly tell me that whatever I had wasn’t much or significant even though it was way more than he has. He’d belittle any plans I made or anything I achieved. He’d try to sabotage my career. It was a crazy dynamic. He took advantage of my success but tried to make me feel stupid. He told me multiple times in the relationship that I wasn’t 💩 and was such a “bad” girlfriend. I know his behavior wasn’t because he was a black man. He was just an insecure, abusive loser that just happened to be black. I don’t care about divesting. I just know whatever man I date if I date again, will be secure in himself as a man. I paid for each and every one of his shortcomings through emotional, verbal, and physical abuse. He was so pro black love even though he had dated the rainbow and had a mixed race child. He knew I’d dated outside my race and would tell me how black women who did that were essentially garbage. The kicker is he cheated at the end, and it was with a non-black woman. He was all around a true POS.

Damn I just graduated and my first job is 60k… I didn’t even realize I was now part of this group… smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m only mid 20s so I’m just starting. I’m hoping to make 6 figures by 30 but that’s just my personal goals. I just want a good man… and I’m beautiful so I meet men all the time but some of them try to make u feel small if u show up confident… I’m in feminine energy… it be men in the church with these submission mindsets it’s sooo hard it’s heart breaking. I’m now divesting 😎 I want a good man that wants to build alongside me not make me a bad guy for trying to build a life I want

DAMMMMNNNN I love this!!!! When women say these things we are masculine, man bashing, we are jealous of other women and all sorts of witchcraft ideologies and they dont want to look in the mirror at themselves. It takes a decent wise man to speak Truth and walk in that Truth and dont back down from it. I applaud you.
