Do birds steal your fish ? Is it the purpose of the mesh ? 😂
@TheBonsaiGarden3 күн бұрын
We get regular visits from herons (used to be daily at one point but not seen one now for about three months) and they have previously taken fish, hence the raised net. Without it the pond would be empty. All the talk about decoys etc is nonsense - the only thing that will truly protect the fish is a physical barrier between the koi and the heron. It is also raised so they cannot impale and stab at the fish.
@BonsaiForRoman3 күн бұрын

Day of the Privet = Classic stuff!! Laughed out loud (a lot) when you mentioned you bought one😆😆. I quite like your vision for the tree. Will have great movement and, of course, taper once it develops. 'Potato' may sound more romantic in Japanese (if you like romantic tubers, that is). Will be lots of fun to follow the progression for sure!

Very nice video. There is an excellent reason for folks to try the smaller bonsai. I have gotten to the point with my age and back problems that I cannot adequately take care of my larger trees. I hate the idea of giving up my big trees so I will continue working with them for a few more years. I wish I had sons or daughters who would keep them going. My oldest tree is 65 years old.

Very informative, I learned quite a bit from it. I'm now into my second year and I am very glad to have learned these little tricks. Although I am not traditional and I have no interest in following any specific rules, I truly enjoy the time I spend with my trees and the methods you use are very intelligent. I find not being confined by guidelines I am free to enjoy without disappointment. For me it is much more therapeutic this way. Thank you very much for your video
