hey can anyone help? at 24:41 when he creates a new node from PickupClass to a Spawn Actor from Class, on my project i get an error that says "Array of BP Weapon Pick Up References is not compatible with Actor Class Reference." How do i change it from an array to what it needs to be? I'm very new to unreal so any help would be greatly appreciated

The older version of this gave me a compile error. This one works perfectly. Awesome. I do still have a bit of bob. But it's very small, actually feels natural.

I keep bothering you, I apologize for that lol. When I hit compile in the animation event graph, the arms continue using the same idle animation that the lower body is supposed to be using. I've applied the hand animation to blend pose 0 and have done everything else exactly the way you did.

This is PERFECT. Thank you so much! With a little reverse engineering to just get the neck, this was exactly the system I wanted. Edit: One issue I'm having is camera clipping inside my mesh. I'm guessing I should add a clamp somewhere?

I watched your whole multiplayer 3rd person video as well as the replicated weapon system video but in the multiplayer one you had only replicated a single fire gun not an automatic one. And in the How to make your first game video you made an automatic assault rifle but not replicated so I’m scratching my head on how to make it work with replication 😅 I’m sure it’s something simple lol I love the videos tho! Great work.

yo if anyone else is having this problem i fixed it by changing the delay time at the end of the branch to 0 instead of 0.5. hopefully this helps someone if they have the same problem 😂

Hey, coming from your other series. I also did it this way but my upper body still won't rotate. I triple checked this time around and everything I've set is exactly how you've shown so I'm not too sure what's wrong here.

Hey man. Love the videos, they've been super helpful. I am having an issue however with my level sequence camera and my in game actor camera dont seem to line up the same dispite being set up the exact same way, attached to the same bone etc. Setting up an anim and testing it out and having the arms off by a few inches is really weird Do you have any idea of what might be causing this?

Yo bro, this tuto was awesome, it helped me a lot and learned a lot too. I have 2 problems and watching it again I saw that you didn't checked. My first problem is that only the player on the server can make headshots, the other ones only can hit the body, idk why. And the other problems is when the player on the client holds right click and sidesteps it clips, like, it get bugged and it doesn't slow at all. But really thank you so much for this tutorial.

So I checked again, my problem is that the clients can't deal damage to the head of the server player, but they can deal head damage to each other, idk what is the problem tho :(

Here from your FPS series lol. Still no luck. The mixamo rig/animation im using isnt rotating from the spine. Not sure why. I didn't add a virtual bone but im not sure if that's needed. If it is, that's another problem entirely as my rig doesnt even have a root bone.

Followed the series up to now, roughly accurately. The only difference is that I'm using a mixamo rig, not a metahuman, but the bone structures are similar, and every issue so far has had a workaround that functioned. Now my issue is that my spine bones are not rotating when looking up or down. I've checked and rechecked, following every step in the vid, and I can't figure it out. Please help

Hi Mizzo. Thank you for an excellent tetorial. Easy to follow. I have two issues, in the Bp_Character I am having trouble dragging off the current weapon and get pickup class as well as get weapon name. the is no such varible showing up. I have replayed over and over, can't seem to work it out. I did create them in the BP_weapons pickup. I'm using 5.3 and custom character on third person template.

Excellent starting point tutorial. 😆 However before you attempt to recreate this demo game in UE5.3, you must first update your video card's drivers. This update is important since it will determine how your game might perform. I ran tests trying to solve the framerate glitches and memory over run problems. Hello Mizzo, Please help me! I followed all of the tutorials the same way, the only difference was that my meta-human was med instead of tall. Now when I try to jump or move around my character starts to rubberband and it flings me back and forth when I jump. When I try to walk forward it zooms the camera in and sends it farther and when I stop walking the camera gets rubberbanded back the the character. Also, when I try to walk backward it doesn't work at first, but then teleports me super fast backwards. I have a video of my problems if you need. Edit- I went on the the next video anyways and when I created the jump/falling/landing animations it fixed the flinging while jumping part. So I think it has something to do woth my walk animations or something? I still don't know what is wrong though!

@@callanbeimel5947 I had this same issue with a Mixamo model Im using. You could go into the actual animation itself, and find the option "Force Root Lock". It's a bit of a bandaid fix, but Unreal Engine 5 and root bones do not work well with each other so that's how I fixed my issues.

when i try to find Pick Up class there is nothing there. I have restarted this tutorial twice now and ran into the same problem. when i go off of Current weapon and search for the Pickup Class there is nothing there. Only a cast to the pickup class. Id really appreciate if someone could help me out because I'm stuck right now. 24:09. And when i turn off the search Context Sensitivity it comes up but i cant use it. PLEASE HELPP
