Thanks. I just made these muffins and they are delicious. I used sour cream which makes them very moist. Also, the lemon zest takes it to the next level in terms of flavor.

Hello! I just tried your recipe but I believe there is a mistake with the measurement of the heavy cream because when I whipped mine it looked way less than yours did and my ube cream came out way darker. Could you please check the heavy cream amount? I would like to try again

Hi.. i made this but my wafer became soft and sticky after cool down. It made it hard to put filling coz its falling apart. Any tips on how to make the wafer crispy. Thanks for the recipe btw ❤
@GastronomicAdventurebyTD6 ай бұрын
Hello, There are several factors that could affect the wafer. What I could think of are the following: underbaking, humidity, storage. My oven could be different from yours. I would suggest to use an oven thermometer. It won't take long to cool it down. Make sure to store in air tight container. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for watching the video. The bread tends to get soggy after dipping into the custard mixture and loses its structure. But it's really up to your preference :)

Hi Jovv, for this recipe it's actually just a personal preference. Some people may achieved a smooth egg pie without tempering eggs. We prefer to treat the eggs with little bit of TLC to achieve a smooth, creamy texture in our egg pie. Hope this helps :)

Hi Manuel, oven temperature is one of the factor that could affect the outcome of baked goods. This recipe is meant to be jiggly when it comes out of the oven as it will set when it cools down :)

Hello! Loved your video as it's detailed and easy to follow. Asking if you have a recipe for flavored lady fingers? :) If not, when do we add the flavoring? Is it mixed with the egg yolks when creaming? Thanks!
@GastronomicAdventurebyTD2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, Thanks for watching. The flavouring can be added into the buttercream. As for the Ube crumbs, I used a homemade Ube flavoured lady fingers. I just followed a lady finger recipe from the internet and added Ube extract. Hope this helps. Happy baking! :)

For any Americans looking at this recipe, Australian cups are same size as UK which are smaller than an American measuring cup. I learned this the hard way on another recipe. Not sure if it would make a big difference on cookies.

@@GastronomicAdventurebyTD Another key to remember is while the USA does sell self-raising flour the majority we sell is just plain flour without raising agents. I found the reverse to be true in OZ. Lol, I had a few epic failures between the measuring cup size differences and flour. 😂🤦

Hi...can i add some all purpose flour into the crushed cashew nuts and mix it to the meringue mixture so that it will not become sticky ?
@GastronomicAdventurebyTD2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lalet, thank you for watching my video. I think some other recipes are adding flour or cornstarch to the meringue. To avoid stickiness of the meringue, it has to be cool down after baking then store in an airtight container until it's ready to use. Hope this helps. Happy baking :)
